As for ppl asking why Dame spazzed on Def Jam instead of calling Jay it's simple...he expected it. There was an Sparks interview where he said that around the time Dipset came to the ROC/Dame made Cam VP/ & Jay coming back from vacay was around the time that Jay moved his office away from Dame's. Thats a clear sign that niggas aint fuckin w/ each other more. In fact I heard that Jay & Dame hardly ever saw each other around that time & that 1 of the few times they would see each other was when they went up to Def Jam to talk ROC biz (ex. Freeway album, Beans album, Bleek album, etc.) but when it was Jay-Z related Jay almost always went by himslef...so Dame probably wasnt surprised that Jay didnt tell him. I think that video we saw of Dame in Def Jam offices was just his realization that situation wasnt salvageable so he figured "fuck it, i might as well let them niggas have it cuz it's going down!!!".

Plus Jay's manager was in the meeting so Dame knew that Jay had to know bout the meeting. Dame 's only gripe was that they could have made an effort to inform them about meeting. Plus Dame has always hated Kevin Lyles so he was like fuck it. lol

Am I the only one who finds it wierd that Jay went through all that shit with Dame having him black balled and then a few years later leaves Def Jam and The ROC for Live Nation? Dame now has the ROC back and Kanye and Jadakiss are stilled signed to the ROC.

Dame does not own Rocafella, Def Jam owns the right to Roc a Fella once Jay-z bought out his contract and left. Jay had to give up Rocafella, couldn't sign any former artist, and had to wait 5 years to get his masters upon the 5 mil buyout when he left Def Jam. What makes you think Def Jam would just give him Kanye and Rocafella. lol Dame owns BluRoc and manages Currensy!

We dont know that tho. What we know is Dame had about 100Gs when he was 18 from the artist he managed at the time. Clark Kent was about to sign Jay but that deal fell through and Jay went on a losing streak for like the next 5 years or so until he signed an independent deal only to get dropped so u do the math.

Niggas grow apart sometimes, Dame and Jays relationship falling apart happens all the time in cooperate America. It will be interesting to see if they can fix the relationship, not from a business pov, but personal.

You could see it coming from back in the day though if you read XXL and Source like i use to. I remember Bleek was speaking about Dame saying some foul shit to him (around the time the riff started) and then he went to Jay about it and Jay basically saying alot of the shit would come to an end soon. I think that Camron shit kicked off it all, how you gonna come on the mans label (Juelz) taking about "one time for Cam taking over the Roc" and not expect niggas to feel some type of way, especially with Cam and Dames prior relationship. That would be the equivalent to when Dame would get pissed at Lyor for telling Jay he would give him full control of Rocafella behind Dames back.
