The Roc-A-Fella formula...

Biggs goes out, sells his dope & his weed. Brings the money back and didn't say shit else until more money is needed.

Jay did the music, the performing, the interviews, etc etc. He also was part of the funding.

Dame danced around and popped bottles.

But the corporate folks was like, "What does Dame Dash do?". Dame had to do something so he yelled 24/7. Nigga wasn't no real businessman. He was Bigg's mouthpiece, like Baby is to Slim.

Why you think none of Dame's business ventures after the Roc were a success.

Biggs was the nigga who was talking and working to get Dipset back together too.

u cant be serious lol

dame was the head of roc a fella, big was just dame yes man. dame thought of all them marketing plans (streets is watching, roc a wears, making roc a fella into dynasty, movies). Jay was the bread winner. without dame jay probably wouldnt still rapping and would have never blew up cause he would have gave up and when back to the streets.

but they said all 3(dame, biggs, jay) of them put up money to start roc a fella, jay(street money), biggs(street money), and dame(from stacy dash)

but dame is that dude and need to make a comeback, but i dont think jay did anything wrong or backstab dame, he just didnt want to do business wit them no more

Maybe...maybe not. But why continuously do the shit w/ lil to no result. Do u think every time Dame came to the Def Jam offices & spazzed out that Lyor or Kevin Liles would be shaking in their boots when he left & say "Dame just cursed us out...we should give him what he wants", I doubt it. Especially when they own 1/2 of ur company. Thats tellin ur wife "bitch I'm leavin"...she still leavin w/ 1/2 ur shit.

Honestly, if Dame was a white guy running around Def Jam screaming on niggas, he would've gotten laid out and stuffed underneath his desk until the police came looking for him.

I was speaking on the way outsiders are perceiving the situation (i.e. posters here) not just the people in the office.

Not going to get in a debate with you because you obviously lack any intelligence. Once you move out of your mother's basement and start making actual moves in the business world, then maybe we can have one. SMH at stupid fucks thinking blacks are not in postions of power.

the one jay-z worked for?

Jay didnt work for him but i know that he wanted to sign Jay to some record label he worked for in the early 90s but the label went under. That s when HE introduced Jay to Dame as he had signed a group that Dame was managing prior. Plus word is he was telling everybody back then early 90's that Jay was the nicest rapper out. He also got Foxy Brown and Big for Reasonable Doubt

Lyor and Kevin went for the star rapper over the star mogul. Who would you take the coach or the player? Phil or Kobe?

Yeah. I remember in 09 b4 BP3 came out XXL did a cover on Jay about BP3. In the interview Jay talked about how when they went up to Def Jam offices to talk business that often it would break out into a Def Jam brass (Lyles, Cohen), etc. vs Dame argument and they would basically leave w/o getting anything accomplished. Then Jay said he would have to go back to smooth things over and basically be like "What Dame meant was blah blah blah...what were trying to do is blah blah blah". They could see the strain it was causing b/w Jay & Dame & that Jay was getting tired of it. They probably started pissing Dame off on purpose just to keep the shit going but Dame was so blinded by his dislike for them niggas he couldnt see what they were doing...or maybe he did & said fuck it.

IDK. We've never seen Phil win w/o elite talent (MJ/Pippen, Kobe/Shaq, Kobe/Gasol) & MJ, Kobe, Shaq, etc. never won shit until Phil was their coach.

I guess biggs would be tex Winter (the dude who taught Phil the triangle offense)
