Bulls Guard Derrick Rose was struck in the face by an elbow during today’s practice. He was taken by the Bulls medical staff to Rush University Medical Center for testing and evaluation which determined he sustained a left orbital fracture. After consultation with several specialists, it has been determined that he will require a surgical procedure, which will take place tomorrow at Rush. After the procedure, a timetable for return to play will be determined.

The season, and possibly the career, of Ravens receiver Steve Smith is over.

After Sunday’s win over the Chargers, Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Smith will miss the rest of the year with a torn Achilles tendon.

Smith repeatedly has said that he will retire after the season. Smith’s agent recently pegged the chance of a return in 2016 at 50-50.

Someone must not have shared their candy with Kneesus because he's taking out mad niggas today.

He probably got Reggie Bush.

He's also about to get Forte, Khiry Robinson and Le'veon Bell.

Not only must you tithe to Kneesus, but you gotta give up the candy too. Please forward any pink starbursts, jawbreakers, and assorted candies immediately to save your team players.

Le’Veon Bell left the field during today’s loss to the Cincinnati Bengals after catching a pass in the second quarter and getting tackled by Vontaze Burfict. Initial reports out of the Steelers’ locker room were “optimistic,” but unfortunately, Bell’s injury is serious, as multiple prominent NFL reporters are reporting that Bell has a “badly torn” right MCL, and will miss the rest of the season:

Just under 10 months since surgery to repair a torn ACL, Jabari Parker will make his return Wednesday when the Milwaukee Bucks host the Philadelphia 76ers.

Parker was activated for the first time since the injury for Monday night's game against the Brooklyn Nets but did not play.

He has been targeting Wednesday's game for several weeks as he made it a priority to make his return in a home game. The final hurdle was cleared Monday when he was given the OK to play after he consulted with Dr. David Altchek, who performed the procedure on Parker's left knee last January.

"It feels pretty good but there is a long way to go," Parker said. "It is about maintaining but I'm blessed."

kc gave the okay to return

I guess the Achilles Monster had a hit list too.
