lol honestly I liked RD a lot, but I've never listened to OB4CL though....

I could see why some might. It's just not a Classic Album imo.

i personally like Reasonable Doubt better than Ready To Die and Illmatic because from this album u could tell that Jay-Z was goin to be somebody he just had that aura around him. And in 96 niggas was actually still gettin major money off of the drug game so his style wasn't that far fetched......

Jay-Z was/is older than Nas and Big so he didn't have that youthfulness that surrounded Nas and Big.... Jay-Z in a sense came in like he made it already... and Ready To Die was not commercial it was pure gritty from the lyrics to production...

I'm not telling or trying to convince you not too like RD over any other album. If, you like you like. Fine by me. Now the rest of your assesment just isn't accurate imo. Jayz has been a Dick Rider from the outset. Before he dropped RD he had been in the game for 10 years with no success not even a Buzz in BK. So, if, you could tell he was going to be someone then, perhpas you could be the next Dame Dash. Lastly RTD had extremely commercial Tracks and Appeal compared to the sound of that time and to otherwise tells me you weren't into Hip Hop at that time for whatever reasons.

What was wrong with the production ppl still rap on those same beats he used in 96... Dead Presidents is like one of the most overused freestyle beats in the game.... And Jay-Z dropped countless gems on Reasonable Doubt.... so he was actually sayin something.... idk i guess i was blessed enough to hear it in that time when it came out thats a major difference too....

I got zero problems with RD's production, I was speculating that some people think it's weak for whatever reason.

Wow, for real? You should cop The Purple Tape, though. It takes a hot, steaming shit all over Reasonable Doubt.

u dont think American Gangster was a good album?

i think american gangsta had some dope songs, but it also has some average to wack shit

ag was hyped because of the movie it was associated with

hov picked some wack ass beats for that album....it was let down, but i will say the marketing for it was dope

i can listen to BP and Black Album without skipping a song...AG i gotta skip songs...
