You can talk about the crusades, that is fair and just. You could talk about the Spanish Inquistion, but that was more of a Spain thing and the Catholic church was against it. Now, 500 years later....Fact is people have been using religion for wars and killing for years, I just do not understand why you made the thread Catholics vs. Muslims, and not all christians or Jewish? Because you do know that the Jews and Muslims are currently at extreme odds right now, and in America, it is the protestants that endorse extreme right-wing philospohies.

conversely, the Catholics are the ones with the strict, conservative leadership, whereas you have plenty of Protestants that aren't emotional about Islam
