And at the same time his price can't be too high, IMO.

This thread isn't for making the investments themselves though, this is to create the Market itself, i don't know every independent artist, so if I've missed some that you can see, then please add them and your own price per share in accordance with the other prices already in the thread.

End of next week I'll create the official investment thread when we've got all the artists.

Haha if this was last year, Madlib would be mad high, I think basically we'll score posters artists out of 100, broken into four sections:

Activity /10
Quality /70
Quantity /10
Sales /10

To make 100%. I guess each share should be graded against the percentage, so you divide the total score by 100 and multiply the answer by 20. So for 70 marks out of 100, you'd get a share value of $14. And if they break the mainstream, results should be multiplied by 5, so $14 * 5 = $70 per share…

How does everyone feel about that? There could be other multipliers too, like listed in album of the year x total by 5 etc.

I think it's a dope concept, but we want a manageable way of sorting the artists that we do buy shares in… should be really cool debates that spark from this with regards to the scores too…

Yea I like that, I think Dilated Peoples should be around 7-9 at least, because they have played a major role in underground hip hop, not just individually!! J-Live too should be definitely higher!!
