I got a few 808's I customized, i really just combined a couple from other sound kits n eq'd/put effects on em to try to make em mine tho

This is what im gonna start doing that I never have before. Its the best way to create your own style instead of just eq'ing the same ol stock sounds everyone else has access to

Do any of y'all b creating/customizing ur own drums?

IMO if you a beat maker you should always make your own drums/kits. It's don't matter how you get the sound it's just all about how the sound is processed.

Eq'ing drives me borderline insane, I b wanting to get it "right" have to remind myself to just find sum I'm comfortable with cuz there kinda is no "right"

Somebody has to school me on drum kits...

And vst's

Simply put: Drum kits are drum sounds (kicks, 808s snare hi hats sounds etc)

VSTs is virtual studio technology either synths or effects plugins u can use in your DAW

Thanks for the info and one more question if I was to have speakers, what brands should I look into and not look into?

Man i'm picky as hell on Studio Monitors...

I'm always checking the Frequency Ranges & I Prefer my lows to be at 20hz if possible

I had some Samson monitors at that range and brah i heard shit i wouldn't have heard on regular monitors that playback lows at 30-35hz and i was able to clean it up in the mixes.

So i PREFER if you can afford it, some Monitors where the Frequency range is from 20-20,000hz

As far as headphones go,

get the Industry Standard/Old Reliables

Sony MDR-7506

Shits sound GREAT...
