That's a sample for sure. You can hear where the loop ends.

Magicians don't reveal their secrets though

Oh so homeboy just being stingy, aight I get it now lol

Think of it like the movie "Blood Diamond." You spend alllllll your time trying to look for dope samples and you finally find that gem and ol' boy thinking im just gonna hand it to ya?

Nah man. Thats not how it works. lol

Same thing how battle DJs were back in the day. They use to have white labels on their records so nobody knew what beat or sample they were using.

@rayswift that's a smooth ass beat man, but you need to add little bits to keep it interesting. it's nice but 5 minutes is way too long for a beat to stay the same.

@ROZAYTABERNACLE

Thanks bruh! I only made it 5 minutes because I put up for free download to any artist. Gave it that intro, 16 bar, 8 bar chorus for 3 verses and an outro.

I try my best not to overproduce and add unnecessary sounds but I feel where your coming from.

I was aiming for that 90s feel.

I get not sharing samples, trust me i know the feeling of finding some shit you havent heard anyone use.....but if you flipped it already, the damage is done and from the looks of it, it aint that rare of a find.

Had to whip this up real quick. Mixing aint so good but I did everything from my headphones.

Hip Hop shit.

Fam, you gotta chop that up. You're about to expose the gold mine cuzzo. Chill out. I know exactly where it came from, and you didn't do anything to it but play the loop over. Make that shit yours. Utilize the melody, add your own piano run to it, add your own baseline, play it over, etc. I'm not knockin the hustle fam trust me, just make that shit yours.

I'm in the process of doing a gang of my shit over again. I did the same thing at one point. I gotta shitload of work to do now.

My homie blessed me with an Akai MPK25 midi a few weeks ago. It's little things I'd never be able to pull off just using software and a mouse alone...glad i hve it now cuz i had got comfortable using the mouse and PC for a while and now I see I have been working too hard all these years. Next thing I want is a 82 key synth and stand-alone drum machine..maybe a MPC2000 XL, and honestly some of yall that want a stand alone drum machine should check out the SP-404 (battery powered, small version of the sp-555) seems like a slept on machine on the IC. It have a ton of effects, the vinyl sim is soo good, and u can do a lot of live ish if you want to use as a DJ set up.

This is why I don't really trip on something I sample being well known or revealing it because I focus more on the way I flip it and use it in a unique way, although looking for rare gems could only add more uniqueness to my sound. As a matter of fact now that I'm thinking about this shit I'm definitely gonna start digging more for some rare, rare shit.

I can dig it but there are thousands of samples out there that are meant to be untouched. I felt like this was one of them. A lot of producers tend to chop samples into a billion pieces and end up overproducing a track. Leaving no room for the final touch. The vocals.

I wanted to keep this beat old school. I didnt wanna add those electro synths thats popular today.
