Watched the new Magnificent Seven. Wack as shit in my opinion. It's like Antoine Fuqua said fuck actually fleshing out any of these characters and I'm just gonna throw seven badasses randomly together. Like how the Indian just randomly showed up for no reason. The only ones with any semblance of a back story were Denzel and Ethan Hawke's character. For as long as the movie was it actually felt like nothing happened besides the two big gunfights and the montage were they were training the farmers felt like it was lifted straight from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. Just a lazily made movie in my opinion.

Barry - The Netflix Barack Obama teenage tale circa 1981 whilst in New York and finding his identity as an interracial kid... was decent

Amores Perros - aka 'Love Is A Bitch'.. classic Mexican drama released in 1998 about an auto accident that affects the lives of 3 to 4 different individuals. Multi structured tale from Alejandro Inarritu famed for The Revenant

Hero - martial arts drama. Beautiful to look at with the cinematography, production and costume design. Classic shit...

A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas - 3rd part of the classic stoner comedy ... funnier when you're high

Baby Boy - Lovely film... Hood classic about growing up.

David Bowie: The Last Five Years - BBC documentary on the late singer... and how he dealt with his impending death through music

Ghostbusters (2016)

They turned one of my beloved childhood memories into a Paul Fieg movie. A bad one at that. They need to treat it like it never happened and work on a true sequel to the og series or pack it in..

Batman: Return of the Cape Crusader

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this. Nostalgia done right. It was little off-putting to hear a grizzled Adam West voice Batman but that's a nitpick.

What's the name if this in English and is it on Netflix?

Train to busan man lol, its there on the poster.

The poster changed for some reason. Weird.

Just watched... The Girl With All The Gifts. Funny I was working a Tiff party in the fall and tried to pull up on Gemma Arterton (teacher character). Had no idea who she was until just now I just wanted to fuck on first sight. She kept coming back to the door hailing me up but I got blocked by some wack bitch she was with. Swear I had her leaking tho. She was ready.

Anyway movie was cool. Lol.

Jus binged S1 of HBO's Divorce. lol "white ppl be trippin" That Sarah Jessica broad is WOAT. zombie face lookin bitch looks like a ironing board with long hair smh. Everything else is pretty funny. The husband is funny AF, both lawyers are funny and Molly Shannon does her thing. Nuthin ground breaking, but worth a watch imo.

Living The Blues - small independent film released in 1986 and shot in LA. Deals with a dancer: a young Black woman who falls for a privileged White boy who's a guitarist... plus the the call of the streets. Has some break dancing too...

Silence - Martin Scorsese's latest. I gave a review in the thread

The King Of Comedy - one of the Scorsese/DeNiro collaborations released in 1983...

The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air - Season 6 and the final season... now on Netflix. Interestingly Will has a movie out this year on Netflix

The Accountant...I went into this really wanting to like it. Its cool, not great imo. There is too much goin on w/ the plot @ the end imo, as the movie explains itself. Great cast tho, decent enough watch.

Keeping up with the Joneses...very formulaic, cookie cutter plot. Couple funny parts. Kinda movie where you can see the story coming a mile away. classic rom-com/spy date movie. meh overall tho.

I didn't know what to expect going into this since the movie that came out years ago was borderline trash...I read the books (didn't finish the series, I read 9 of 13) when I was younger and I always liked it way more than harry potter.

I'm 4 eps into this show and it's dope. The tone is very true to the books and there's a lot of nods to the books that you won't catch unless you read them.

It was aight okay good, but i personally do not think it is as great as its being lauded to be , the 2nd and 3rd act were really good.

Only watch this if you are an old hollywood romantic , like musicals or have a hipster/starbucks chick you wanna impress.

B+.

Watched "The Similars" last night on Netflix, dope movie, very intriguing. It's a Mexican movie in Spanish with subtitles and it looks like a old movie from the late 50's, early 60's

I saw USA Today gave this 1 1/2 stars outta 4 but they stay on some feminist/politically correct/there should be an equal amount of all races in every show and movie bullshit so I figured it just hurt their feelings and I was right. Solid show. What did they really expect from a chick that was in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
