The I Watched Recently Thread *possible spoilers*

All Is Lost .. Robert Redford all alone at sea battling nature. A very good performance from a Septuagenarian because it'd take a whole lot of physical and mental strength for all those scenes battling waves. Plus there was hardly any major dialogue through out the film (reminded me of Cast Away and I Am Legend for majority solo performances on screen). You can watch the film on mute and still get it. 4/5

The Judge .. Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall as son and father respectively who bond over the death of a family member and a murder conviction. It had a cliché storyline but the two leads put in good performances. 3/5

Straight Outta Compton. Great movie. Guy playing E was great. Funny as hell when they were together as a group. Was into it the whole way through. Pretty good trailers too. Not big on going to the movies these days, but could talk myself into seeing Star Wars and Crimson Peak. Leaving felt a little ridiculous though. Police driving by the theatre, sitting in the lobby, and ushers patroling inside(they might've been kicking a kid a two out though).

Sick so I'm laid up watching movies

Just got done with child's play... We all know the story killer doll possessed by serial killer Charles Lee ray ...this is a nightmare come true we all have had stuffed animals and dolls in our room at one point and may have played with them as if they were alive ..well this movie plays on that imagination and twist it

Man. First time I watched this shit was with my uncle. I was a young boy then. I used to have like 4 or 5 of those wwf wrestling buddies and my goofy ass brother decided to be a jackass and pretend like they were talking. Scared the hell out if me. Started sleeping with a big ass kitchen knife under my pillow. Funny as hell tryna explain that shit to my mom.

True Story. May not be for everyone. James Franco plays Chris Longo a man who is charged with killing his wife and 3 kids. They catch him in Mexico going by the name Michael Finkel. The real Michael Finkel played by Jonah Hill is a disgraced journalist who was fired from the New York Times for fabricating a story. The two meet and discuss Mike writing the real story about what happened the night Chris family died. From here on out it's the mind of a crazy person at work. Mike is captivated at the idea of redeeming himself and gets played like a fucking violen. Manipulation at its finest. I don't wanna ruin the ending for anyone that may watch it but it is a really good ass movie and the ending is that subtle ether that'll burn souls long after death. 4.7/5 and it's actually a true story.

I saw the ending but I dint remember it can you say what happened really quick? In a spoiler

they pretty much switched lives as far as writing goes. Mike never wrote for the NY times again but Chris writes for them and other newspapers constantly. And at the end he said Mike will forever be known as the guy that interviewed the guy that killed his family and that's all. Slow burn ether

These past few weeks I've checked out a few movies here and there.

The Expendables 3 - decent if you're a fan of the series. Wished to see more of the original members. The new ones took up too much screen time.

RoboCop (remake) - if you're a fan of series you'll be disappointed. I didn't like it at all. The story telling just wasn't that good. To have Michael Keaton, Gary Oldman and Samuel Jackson and not deliver was just wasted.

House of Flying Daggers - I really loved this movie. The scenes in this movie was beautiful. The story had me guessing the whole time. I was really looking forward to a final battle with the House and the General but I see why they did it. That final fight was just great from the colors to the choreography.

Straight Outta Compton - This was a dope biopic. It was one of those movies I didn't want to end. Only one gripe I had though was I was looking to find something new I didn't know. All in all I enjoyed it. The actors who played Eazy and Cube stole the show. I highly recommend it if you're a fan.
