Eddie Murphy Raw - my first time watching this. I saw it over the weekend late night on cable

First off, the whole 80s era was kinda refreshing and dude was at the height of his powers then. I was more impressed with his voice impersonations (Cosby, Pryor, 'Wiseguys'..) and his take on relationships

It kinda petered off in the second half though and I peeped the slight diss to Mike Jack

Blackhat - Michael Mann's cyber warfare thriller released this year starring Chris Hemsworth and Viola Davis.

Typical action joint but nobody in Hollywood shoots more realistic shoot outs than Mann though. Bruh when them shots ringing you feel the realism and he uses HD cameras; almost like a mini-documentary

It was alright.

saw Get Hard zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

kinda disappointed because i thought wedding ringer was hilarious ( waaaay better than expected) but man get hard i giggled a couple times but shit was just not funny IMO.. pass

Three Kings with ice cube, marky mark and clooney. Directed by david o russell. About 3 dudes at the end of the gulf war that come up on a map to a bunch of gold bricks that belong to saddam. Kind of a satire about war films...had some funny and serious moments. Good movie. 7/10

Imo the only real funny part was when hart kept switching from the black dude to the mexican to the gay nigga.

San Andreas - the epitome of cliche. it was decent

also Hollywood really wants us to believe a black/Samoan nigga can have a child with a white woman that'll come out whiter than the mother

My broad wanted me to see that shit with her. I told her that is "disaster porn n to kick rocks" lol. Bitch ended up goin by herself.

Watched more documentarys

Aryan brotherhood ....goes into the origins on how it started what inmates have to do to join etc...also talks to ex members who discover the hypocrisy of the organization and talk about what really goes on and how they operate... These ex members are also are targets who live in fear. No matter if they are behind bars or not

Ike turner ...mini docu that aired on TV one ...goes into his origins etc and how the movie what's love got to do with it affected his life personally and financially.... Some of the ppl who were friends of his and Tina's says the movie was highly exaggerated especially the uncomfortable rape scene in the studio

Both sides say they never seen him beat her at all ...funny thing is they said that when they first met Tina already had a kid by somebody in Ike's band and that she thought ike was ugly AF and didn't know what women saw in him ..and he thought she was a too skinny since he was into thicker women and he also saw her as a lil sister at first

Valentine road ....about a 15 year old student who came out as gay only to have a 14 year old classmate shoot him twice in the back of his head as he typed on a computer. Info on the kid and casehttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Larry_King

Hmmmm. Interesting

The Godfather .. came on cable Saturday night (parts 2 and 3 followed immediately but I couldn't keep up LOL)

I get to watch these mob masterpieces like every 3-4 years and you notice new shit you didn't get before. My favourite part was when Mike escaped to Italy after murdering the Police chief and mobster in the restaurant.. I love the life of the country side as opposed to the chaotic nature of cities

Jurassic Park - came on yesterday afternoon on TV and is actually my first time watching it fully. The special effects hold on strongly after 22 years even though the story/script was a bit average

You gotta tip your hat to Spielberg for always being at the forefront of pushing the boundaries for innovation in filmmaking

The Equalizer - Denzel playing a retired Black Ops commando living a quiet life in Boston and drawn into conflict with the Russian mafia.

I was impressed with how he dispatched 5 people in a room under 30 seconds. Funny and violent

A sequel has been scheduled for 2017

Antoine Fuqua is a busy man with a boxing drama out in July with Jake Gylenhaal and The Magnificent Seven a western also starring Denzel (I reckon that's why he had that ridiculous moustache on in the Mayweather fight LOL)

Killers. Thought it was going to be a Kiss The Girls-esque competing serial killers movie. Think I would've liked it more if it was, along with having a police POV. Felt like a waste of two hours at the end of it.

Trading Places/Beverley Hills Cop. 80s greatness. Eddie greatness.

Earth 2. I gave up halfway through the season.

Flu. Pretty good outbreak movie.

Sleepers (1996) starring Brad Pitt, Kevin Bacon, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Minnie Driver, Brad Renfro, Billy Crudup, & Wendell Pierce. Set in New York and supposedly based on a true story although numerous people dispute it, it's about four young boys who play a prank that goes terribly wrong. After this they are sent to a boys reformatory school where they are raped and brutalized by several of the guards. Fourteen years later they decide to enact revenge albeit in a unconventional and dangerous way. Can't believe I had never seen this, highly recommend it. It is kind of similar to Mystic River although I think Mystic River is the superior film. 8/10.

The DUFF (2015) starring Mae Whitman, Robbie Amell, Bella Thorne, Bianca Santos, Skyler Samuels, Romany Malco, and Ken Jeong. It's about a girl who finds out that she is the DUFF (Designated Ugly Fat Friend) who guys only want to talk to try to get closer to her "hotter" friends. Anyways her popular next door neighbor and best guy friend gives her a crash course on how to break out of this and it kind of goes from there. It's a little sharper edged and more foul than your usual PG-13 teenage high school comedy. I dug it. 7/10.
