Watched Season 1 of The Americans. Knew it had me when I was up past 3 in the morning saying "just one more episode" on a work night. smh. Good stuff.

Rewatching Continuum now.

Great, slept on show.

So I had a Sci-Fi Mind Fuck Film Orgy. I recommend ALL 3 OF THESE FILMS, check em out if you haven't:

(GRADE = B+ ) The Mastermind returns to Sci-Fi, Christopher Nolan after finishing his "Dark Knight Trilogy" and dropping "Inception" takes us on a new journey. With an all star cast of Matthew Mconaughy, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway and Michael Caine. We found out if there is more beyond our Solar System. Basically with food resources depleting. NASA sets up a mission to go to other planets in hope to find one that could sustain life. Nolan knocked it out of the park again. The movie was fantastic. Saw it in IMAX. Loved how we went to mutiple universes, dimensions of time and space. Love the different planets, the blackhole and wormhole. It was just an amazing experience. Then the last 40 minutes will have your head spinning as you try to figure the whole thing. It was a nice mix of Sci-Fi films like "Close Encounters of the Third Kind, 2001:A Space Odessy and Contact".

(GRADE = B - ) The French Legend himself Luc Besson is back of "The Professional and Fifth Element" and he brings us his crime sci-fi thriller "Lucy" staring Scarlett Johansen. When a model overseas is tricked into becoming a drug Mule. The drug ends up being released into her body and giving her the ability to use more and more of her brain power. The film also stars Morgan Freeman. The 10% brain myth is something I always was interested in even if he hasn't been proven. So I think the film did a good job playing up on that. The Ending is kinda strange but the percentages raises in Lucy Brain capacity, it's cool to see what happens. The action was on point too.

(GRADE = B ) Ethan Hawke stars in this Time Travel Mind Bending Sci-Fi film "Predestination". It's directed by The Spierg Brothers. Ethan plays a bar tender, well one day at work a guy walks in. They both start a conversation and then Ethan ask the guy to tell him a story and that if it's good he will give a free bottle. The man then tells his life story but once he's done he finds out Ethan isn't who he seems. The concept is about Time Travel and what happens when it's taken to far. I don't want to say much more cause it will spoil the movie. A friend recommended this one to me and I was very impressed. Very dope time travel movie and concept. It's based on a story sci-fi story but the ending will have you going WTF?. Crazy concept.

Yo in the last 3 years, Sci-Fi has made a HUGE comeback. I've been very impressed with the genre.

watched horns

daniel radcliffe is a pretty good actor imo and the movie had some good ideas but the movie itself didnt work

Damn, just saw on iTunes they remade The Town That Dreaded Sundown, gonna have to check that out for sure. I liked the original especially since it's based on a true story that's never been solved and happened in my state.

This past weekend I watched Prometheus and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Prometheus was a pretty good sci-fi movie. It left me with more questions than answers though esp. about the Engineers. The effects were dope. I'ma have to give it another look to see if I missed anything.

Guardians of the Galaxy actually surprised me. The action was great and characters made me root for them.

The soundtrack was great. I could have did without the dancing in some parts though.

But which version did you watch? the original or the special edition which came out in the late 90s...there's a subtle difference.
