Just watched Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, great movie, just as good as the first one, had a nice James Franco cameo in it too. Can't wait for the third installment although I don't think it will jump directly into Planet of the Apes but obviously will continue the ape vs. human going to war storyline. 8.5/10

I watched Kick ass 2. Pretty bad movie, shitty soundtrack and not even funny...

I know the reviews weren't that great but I enjoyed Kick-Ass 2 almost as much as the original.

Kick-Ass - "What's the matter Chris, you shit your shorts?"

The Motherfucker - "Yeah, and I'm gonna wipe my ass with your face"

LMAO, that part killed me.

Im interested to see if they fully remake the orginal movie, but im thinking part 3 will be a full out ape vs human world war with the apes winning.

(GRADE B +) The Man, The Myth, The Legend Denzel Washington teams back up with Antione Fuqua for the 1st time since their Oscar Winning film "Training Day" in the film adaptation of the 1980's TV Show "The Equalizer". Denzel plays an Ex-CIA operative who is now retired working at a Home Depot like Warehouse. After work he always goes and gets some food and coffee at a local diner. He would talk to and run into a Hooker there.

Well one day after seeing her get roughed up by some Russain Mobsters he decides to get involved and the movie takes off from there. I thought this was a great role for Denzel. He was hardbody. The movie does take a while to get going but once it's going it's gone. Chloe did a good job and it reminded me of Jodie Foster in "Taxi Driver". This wasn't really like the TV outside of some of Denzel's actions with his watch. The action was on point and the Main Bad Guy was dope. There's rumors there will be a sequel and I hope so cause I like Denzel in this character.

This movie was fantastic to me. This was an 80's film at it's best. I hope you're right about the sequel possibilities.

4.5/5

Boyhood

This movie tells the story of a boy name Mason as he grows into adolescence and the journey that he goes through with family, friends, relationships. It's approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes and was filmed over 12 years. It had a great supporting cast, chemistry, story and basically a character that everyone can relate to. Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette play the parents that are separated and it chronicles the development of the whole family including the sister and so forth through the eyes of Mason. Solid movie 9/10.

De Niro is one of my favorite actors so I decided to watch The family yesterday. Bad idea... Very bad idea! This movie is really really shitty. Absolutely not funny! Don't watch this crap.

let me in

im so obsessed with this movie, I love it. I had it for a minute but the cover looked lame, the plot seemed lame and I like very few vampire movies. was bored one day and popped it in and now it is one of my favs. I think it's really the actors, they did an excellent job to be kids. my fav scenes were all the ones with the boy and girl talking at night outside the apt complex. the girl really seemed to act how a 12 yr old vampire would act, her facial expressions and everything. I liked the boy too and he had a unique look. I felt like the "father figure" was just dismissed by the girl and the boy will end up the same way, then she will meet another 12 yr old boy and the cycle will continue. apparently this is based on a Swedish movie and book so I will have to check those out at some point.

I liked it. It had comedic elements in the start then became extremely violent towards the end..

DeNiro is a screen Gawd

After watching the first season of ¨Luther¨, I went to look up how many seasons the series and seen there´s only 3 , with the 2nd and 3rd only being 4 episodes each. Why the fuck they cut the series short? Season 1 was bugged out.

I was flipping channels and The Rite was on. The scene where Anthony Hopkins slaps the girl was playing so I had to watch. Nigga put on his slippers and walked off waving like it was nothin.

Yeah Luther was crazy...I liked the Hannibal Will Graham relationship he has with Alice.

Friday night with a with a joint. Indoors 'cos it was cold as fuck outside saw on TV..

American Gangster.. I lowkey liked Denzel's performance in this after watching it again even though it did look like a movie you'd seen before.. .

Memento.. this came on Film4 'cos obviously Chris Nolan has a new movie out. This is his second feature and the movie that announced him to Hollywood.

I was watching it last nite glued to the screen. The originality of the screenplay is dope. The editing of the film is in like reverse mode. (think of NaS on 'Rewind'). Makes you think and reason hard.

Before the film came on Nolan was given an interview about the film and he said when he goes into a screening for the film midway he still doesn't know which scene is which..

I still think it's his best film yet until I see Interstellar.. .

Gone Girl, Nightcrawler, Interstellar & Apocolypse Now.

All are must-see films. Fucking great.

This shit has a documentary of the making. It was war in itself getting that film made. Martin Sheen had a heart attack during filming; there was a typhoon that destroyed sets and shit.. etc

Made me appreciate Coppola as a GOAT filmmaker

You could tell it was fucked up just by watching it. The conditions look horrendous. It actually made me curious to see if anyone was actually killed filming it.

I watched the Redux which is 3hrs 16mins long. Well paced for such a long film.

Some pretty cool Trivia on IMDB. Apparently Sheen was actually drunk as fuck in the early scenes of the film.
