22 Jump Street
Watched maybe a handful of episodes of the TV show (love the theme song though) and never got around to watching the 21 Jump Street movie so I thought I'd give it a chance. This is proly the most meta movie I've ever seen. Kind of picks up where the first one left off and they're aware of what's going on. A lot of in jokes and references throughout the movie. It really does keep the funny going in almost every scene and if you can pack that much humor in a 2+hr movie, you're doing something right. I loved the chemistry Hill and Tatum have. You couldn't find anyone else to play these parts and have the same amount of chemistry. Their relationship and how it's handled and explored helps keep the movie going. They're really good together but they didn't lose much stream when they're on their own. Shout out to Ice Cube who damn near stole the movie too. My only gripe with the movie is that they try to be too meta to the point where they try to lead you in one direction but telegraph it so obvious that you figure out who is what and what's gonna happen at the end. I guess they were going to distract you with the laughs that they didn't think anyone would have time to figure out the plot by the end. Still, great movie. Easily the funniest movie of the year (sounds cliche' yes but not hyperbole) and one of the few movies I'll go back and watch again. Great stuff

Maleficent
The tale of Sleeping Beauty told from the side/perspective of the Maleficent herself and her relationship with Aurora (Sleeping Beauty). Don't know much of the story outside of the bare bones of it. Whenever you hear of Disney Princesses, you usually hear of Jasmine, Ariel or Snow White and I've never really thought Aurora has gotten her fair share. Angelina Jolie looks and acts the part of the lead character pretty well and looks sexy doing it too. She does overact at points too and it kind of stands out from everything else in her scenes. There is only 3 characters who you follow throughout because they're important to the plot and everyone else feels either like filler or aren't needed in the story. They try to shoe in Prince Phillip and it doesn't work at all. Those fairies are fucking annoying and they drag the middle parts of the movie down and whenever they appear. Both are pretty much useless. It is a pretty movie to look at though. It's a fairly harmless movie and Jolie pretty much carries this movie by herself. Not a bad movie but nothing to run out to see

Just caught the sequel to Hunger Games yesterday you have to look at it as an extention to the first movie the look she gave after the fear, exhaustion, uncertainty came the steely determination.... "catching fire"

baaadassssss! - staring Mario van peebles as his father Melvin(looks just like him) I always wanted to see this movie. I saw sweet sweetbacks badass song on bet starz 14 years ago now I got to see how , why it was made and what it took to make it. I give it an A+. fresh off the heels of success of making "watermelon man" the Hollywood bigwigs wanted Melvin to make another black comedy. only thing is Melvin had a problem with the way Hollywood depicted blacks in comedy at that time. so he wanted to make a movie with a serious message for the people. only problem was he didn't have the funds to make it so he shot the film on his money. I loved it I was serious, it was funny. it had great actors like terry crews as the foley artist. also the other celebrities that were had a part in the making of the film before they blew up like earth wind and fire, david alan grier(funny) as the porn producer who helped make the film and actor t.k. carter as a young bill cosby who was a friend of Melvin. also there were plenty of beautiful actresses in the film like nia long as melvins wife and joy Bryant as his secretary. great film.

Just watching the commercials for those movies when they came out I knew it was gonna be some hokey scifi esque cheesefest so I stayed away

I won't harp on this long but this movie.....This fucking movie. This movie broke me in ways I never thought was possible. Plot is everyone from the first movie comes back because one of the couples is getting married in Vegas and because this is a comedy, hi-jinks will ensure. The jokes suck. The plot sucks. The actors suck. There's no reason anything that happens in this movie should happen in reality. There really is no reason for this to be made actually. This is a cash grab movie plain and simple. This is a terrible movie on its own but the experience I had watching this with my girl made it worse. People on their cellphones, bringing babies in the theater, people talking mad loud and I'm pretty sure someone shit themselves in there or the popcorn smelled like ass. This is roughly a 2 hr 30 min movie that's so frustrating to sit through and seeing Kevin Hart and his constant existence, I gave up halfway through. I already have Tyler Perry on my shit list. Next up, Kevin Hart. I will say that Taraji P. Henson and the other women can get the dick everyday until the end of time

Didnt think it was possible, but after a mild season 4, Skyler is twice as annoying as she was in the first 3 seasons. This bitch demanded to be involved in the business after Walt gave her divorce papers and was done with her yamp ass. NOW its his fault? Gtfoh, this bitch is the WOAT tv wife.
