I've been catching up on Weeds never watched it on Showtime during it's day but its a nice blend of humor and exaggerated problems for a single mother.

Thor 2. What a piece of crap. The first one wasn't anything great but it was a masterpiece compared to this one. The only redeeming quality was Hiddleston's performance as Loki. And the whole cell phone works in the other dimension thing made me furious.

either i'm crazy or my expectations were that low cuz of the shit reviews this movie got, but i actually liked it. yes an annual purge is highly implausible but my suspension of disbelief was enough to get over it. wasn't great or even a "good" horror flick but it was a solid middle of the road effort.

^ my problem with that movie was the fact that you have a good concept for a film of that kind yet you decide to base it all in one house, thus eliminating any sense of tension or suspense by making it no different to any other home invasion flick...in the end the whole point of the purge didn't really mean shit in terms of the story.

which is why the city wide purge in the sequel already looks like a better film (fingers crossed)

GRADE ( C + ) Everyone returns in the blockbuster sequel to the Spiderman reboot "The Amazing Spiderman". Marc Webb directs and Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx and Dane DeHann all star. OK, Pretty good. Not Great. Not as horrible as advertised. But Webb did succeed in turning this into Twilight Spiderman but you know what the Love story in this one kinda made sense as the film goes on. This actually stayed truer to the comic. As for the Big scene of the movie:

I thought Gwen's death was done beautifully. The suspense of it, how she was just falling so angelically as Peter did everything to save her. Even down to his web reaching out almost getting her then SNAP. His web actually broke her back if you think about it. Again pretty much the same as the comic with a slight different in where she fell I guess that was a PG13 death but for them to actually stay true to the comic and kill off a major character like that, Bravo to team

With that said, the 3rd act was all over the place and it felt like 3 or 4 different endings. I thought Jamie did pretty good. I don't know about the nerdy version but once he became Electro he was a very powerful Villain but of course Kutzmen and Orci hands are all over that 3rd act. Don't get me wrong, I respect these guys very much. It's not easy to write a blockbuster and have it work. But I have to say the 1st and 2nd acts were very solid and it had a great build up but the multiple endings brought it down.

I thought Dane did great as Harry but his transition was very rushed. That's the problem the story had to many intersecting arcs but a lot got lost in translation. This is why I understand people that critized how some blockbuster feel too Formulaic. Also Rhino character was beyond underdeveloped. I like to watch movies where they focus is that chapter not basically preview within the movie for TASM 3. As for Peter's parents:

THIS was the real Origin story. This is what should of been explored in the 1st film. Have Peter already be Spidey and the intro is about his parents and what really happen, instead they wasted awhole hour in a rehash origin story

I thought Emma was fantastic in this. She was very lovely even though she had that mushy overly loving girlfriend vibe, it worked. Yes I will admit it. Garfield is a better Spiderman but Tobey had better films. I just feel Garfield gives it a little more personality. Tobey played a very reserved Spidey overall. Yes sometimes Garfield overdoes the whole "Hipster" vibe but he gets the jokes and wittiness of Spidey. Again outside of the 3rd act, It was a good sequel. Raised the stakes and had one shocker ending. Also for some of the people complaining about:

Peter mourning to quickly. I thought it actually worked, what didn't work is throwing Rhino in there as some preview to Spidey 3 and the Sinister 6 while you marketed like he was going to be in the movie more. But it's clear who Spidey has to face in the next film so they set it overall for this trilogy to end which at that point they should take 5 more years and reboot it again and use the spin offs to kill time.

So the 1st one was a C, I give this a C+. Not better than Rami's Trilogy but for a reboot not many people wanted, you have to admit the series is doing pretty good. So again Slightly better than part 1, still had flaws but not THAT Bad. Plus I give them props for again staying true to the comic:

Saw Zulu, with forest n bloom...

movie was tense...plays in south africa(cape town area), detective/action/drama movie. Great plot and some hardcore emotional scenes. Plausible story, already knew forest is One of the Goats, orlando is getting there now, superb acting.

probably the best movie Ive seen this year(right after the Raid 2 berandal).

Elysium_Poster.jpg

On my rental list too .. .

It was refreshing watching a sci-fi flick with a lot of profanity for a change .. .

The villain who I reckon is South African gave a narcisstic performance, he was a 'good' villain .. .

Jodie Foster nice cameo from her too. Production design and CGI were good too.

The end had similarities to Armageddon but enjoyable movie all the same

LOL at the state of LA in the near future

not surprised at all anybody who knows the comics knows whats down the line.

the lone ranger. I liked it as much as the 80's live action movie. the action sequence at the end of the film was fun

johnny depp was a good tonto even though people complain about him being white . he does have native American in his backround.

Don John- I liked it. Scarlett Johanssen is a bad bitch. Gordon-Levitt did his thing for his first directorial debut. Tony Danza had me dying. The overall storyline is true. With social media at times are so isolated by ourselves that we replace it with real human contact and have ideas how things should be in reality but it's not.

About Last Night

dawgggg, shit had me dying

somewhat generic storyline but Kevin Hart and Regina Hall some fools

Watched That Awkward Moment, 3 Days To Kill, Jack Ryan Shawdow Recruit.

That Awkward Moment was cool. A lot of people have been hating but it was solid. I was most interested to see miles teller cause he's the only person cast inthe new fantastic four that was unknown. Almost seems like he should be playing human torch and Michael b Jordan should be playing Mr.fantastic based off their roles in this movie. Dude is pretty funny. Its a good one watch.

3 days to kill. Cool but a little bit too all over the place and they were trying to make it funny for some reason. Didn't really get what they were trying to do.

Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit was almost dope but using the girlfriend like that took away from the movie overall. Made it less realistic. Kiera Knightly is wack. Unless they're coming with a series of films the beginning was a waste of time. Made everything seem rushed. Doesn't have shit on sum of all fears which was disappointing. Good enough to watch again tho.

That Awkward Moment was literally one of the worst movies I've ever seen. If you wanna see Miles Teller in an actual good movie check out The Spectacular Now, has Kyle Chandler and Shailene Woodley in it also.

I find it hard to believe it was the worst movie you've ever seen unless you don't watch that many movies. Your opinion is your opinion tho. I'll check out The Spectacular Now when I get a chance.
