Feel like the cast was wasted as well. You got Zoe Saldana, Forrest Whitaker and Willem Dafoe but I swear none of them got more than 10 minutes of screen time.

And what was up with that last death scene being so drawn out?

After Earth on DVD rental .. .

I didn't get to see it at the cinema because of a tight schedule and the reviews then were all negative . .

I decided to watch it now on my terms and months after its release.

Technically, the film isn't bad at all. Photography, Set Design ... all spot on. The visuals of Jaden Smith in that rain forest early on in the film was dope.. . The CGI was hit or miss

The downside of the film was the acting by both leads. This definitely was a vehicle for Smith Jr to become a Hollywood star 'cos Will hardly showed up here. His acting was so wooden even by his standards.

Jaden's performance wasn't bad if he did perform his own stunts but that's where it ends .. .

Its not a memorable film by any standards .. .

Out of the Furnace.....had a spark when it started but ended up real garbage

When I 1st saw the trailer it looked meh. then I saw Casey Affleck on Real Time with Bill Maher and he and Bill talked it up like it was some intellectual deep movie.

overall reviews have been solid tho.

Shit was kinda depressing. Looked completely different in the trailers too. Could've been a badass revenge flick.

Yeah man the movie was super depressing and like you stated so many good actors in it made me think it would be great but they barely got enough screen time. I thought I was the only person who felt that way about the movie.

It was an overall solid movie but it feels like I've seen and heard that story before.

Yea i seen it i thought it would be better but what most interested me about the flick was the parallels it had with this movie i seen with Willem Dafoe who played a fighter/boxer in WW2in a concentration camp it had a few but some very stark similarities i wonder if it was done on purpose

the movie was called Triumph of the Spirit one of the similarities was that Furnace in the movie played a silent part it was almost a character..

In Triumph of the Spirit the Creamatorium played an overbearing characterby its menacing presence

Anyone else notice this or have seen Triumph of the Spirit

Ninja 2 : shadow of a tear.Pretty bad acting and cheesy storyline but the fight scenes were pretty good. Scott Adkins is one hell of a martial artist. One of the scenes were he does an amazing back flip/arm lock grapple. Full movie below ( scene at 00:20:50)

im a fan of Emile Hirsch and the trailer looked solid. So I gave it a watch. But WTF?! lol. dont kno if I didnt get the point of the movie or the comedy. but this shit was lame imo. 3-4 laughs nothin more. coulda been better.

I watched the Hobbit 2. I did not like it. It seemed like they deliberately made Bilbo abstain from wearing the ring so that there would be a conflict - almost every problem he faces in the film can be avoided by wearing the ring and going invisible.

I watched black in Netflix. Really good documentary about killer whales, specially the one that killed the sea world trainer.

I just watched The Wolverine, I give it a solid B. It could have been better but it told a decent story.

Run Fatboy Run directed by David Schwimmer of 'Friends' fame . . Stars Simon Pegg and Thandie Newton. It all centers on a marathon race and family responsibility. Quite good

Black Sheep .. German drama about a certain group of individuals living in Berlin in one day overcoming tribulations, mostly economical. Shot in black and white
