g.i joe(2009) I have it on dvd haven't watched it in years . it was entertaining I like it for the action I think it was better than the second one. the only thing good about retaliation was firefly and the u.n. scene at the end with zartan.

Fifty Dead Men Walking - based on a true story about an Irish Catholic man who was recruited by the British Intelligence agencies and police in the late 80's to spy for them on the Irish Republican Army (IRA) .. Think of Donnie Brasco but with a different element/scenario

Unknown - Liam Neeson plays an assassin on a trip to Germany who has an accident that makes him have a memory block and he's trying to discover who he is and what he's doing there. Wholly shot in Germany its action packed with January Jones (Mad Men) and Diane Kruger (Inglorious Basterds) as co-stars

legion I watched this the other day from my dvr recordings. action wise yeah I like this movie. its drawbacks is that it feels like terminator kind of the waitress reminded me so much of sarah connor.

So with "Riddick" opening this weekend I decided to check out "The Chronicles of Riddick Trilogy". Here's my review for each film:

(GRADE = B + ) Vin Disel stars in this cult sci-fi film from the Year 2000. "The Chronicles of Riddick: PITCH BLACK" is the 1st film of the trilogy. Vin plays a fugitive by the name of Riddick who is being transported by a Cargo ship ends of crash landing on a planet with the crew. Trapped on a Planet with 3 Suns the crew struggles to get the ship back on line. All Hell breaks loose when the 3 suns are blocked by an eclipse which causes some creepy things to come out at night. This was an amazing film. The whole atmosphere and the creatures were off the hook. Riddick clearly was the most interesting character. Him being able to see in the dark and his fighting skills were dope. Really holds up, quality Sci-Fi here.

(GRADE = C) After escaping the sun planet Vin is back in the sequel "The Chronicles of Riddick". 5 Years have passed since the first film and Riddick is still on the run from bounty hunters. When he returns to the planet to find an old friend. He finds out the history of his race and where he comes from. I liked "Chronicles" but I felt the sequel they tried to go to Big when the original was a nice isolated sci-fi film. This one was clearly going for blockbuster status. I liked the Necromongers they were hard. So overall it was a solid sequel but still a step down from the original. Vin as Riddick was dope though.

(GRADE = B) After 9 years Vin returns in "The Chronicles of Riddick: RIDDICK" in the last film of the trilogy. Now finding himself King of Necromongers Riddick still longs to understand where he comes from and his race. But he was betrayed only to find himself stranded trying to survive on a Planet that is suppose to be home. Things get a little sticky when two groups of bounty hunters come for him trying to cash in on the bounty that has been on his head forever. I liked this one very much. Way better than part 2 cause they made it an isolated sci-fi film like the original. The whole Survival aspect of Riddick in this was very well acted and done by Vin. The creatures in this were crazy. The Planet was dope too. I liked the bounty hunters in this. Overall I enjoyed it very much and can't wait to see where the story goes from here.

If you a sci-fi head then the Riddick series is definitely an enjoyable trilogy. It's definitely sci-fi cult status.
