Caught up with Falling Skies. A lot better when you can skip the goofy romance stuff. Big reveal being a 30 year old woman had a baby? Huh? Looking forward to how the next season works out. Just hope they don't have to go crazy with cgi for the new aliens. Could use more Pope and Ben killing though.

Jack Reacher. Good movie. Wasn't expecting a movie to ride on the action scenes. Usually can't have a car chase or any kind of fights without slow motion and guitar riffs. That whole bathroom scene was jokes. But damnn at that russian sucker punching that girl. Opening was cold too.

The Principal. James Belushi should die at the end of everything he's in. I was saying fuck him by the end of this.

seen a couple of decent flicks lately

teacher finds out 2 of her pupils killed her infant daughter and well it kinda goes from there...things get a bit too crazy by the end for my liking but it's kinda nice on a visual level.the soundtrack is mindfuck random.

Yo "Frailty" is very underrated. I think Bill Paxton directed and stared in it. Crazy twist in that movie. Loved it. Well I watched some interesting Thrillers this weekend:

(GRADE = C) The Hughes Bros who brought us "Menace II Society, Dead Presidents, From Hell and Book of Eli" are back but this time only one brother is behind the director chair. Allen Hughes brings us this Thriller about a Power New York Mayor that will do anything to keep his job. Russell Crowe steals the show playing a coruppt NYC mayor. Mark Walberg plays a Discharged NYPD officer turned private dectective. When the NYC Mayor needs someone to follow his wife, he calls on Marky Mark who he helped get out of a jam in the past. The movie then goes on several twist and turns. It was a decent thriller but very forumla driven. Catheine Zetta Jones is also in this. Overall decent, good for a rental. Again Russell Crowe really goes in this role.

(GRADE = C) The Legend himself Al Pacino along with Collin Farrell star in this thriller called "The Recruit". Al Pacino plays a CIA Training officer who recruits Collin Farrell to the CIA. The movie plays out as basically "Training Day" but in the CIA. I thought the build up was pretty good but the climax was a little weak. The suspense is there as you go along but they spent to much time setting everything up that you actually felt there should be more. Pacino does a pretty good job in the mentor role and Collin does a good job playing the fish out of water CIA agent. Overall decent Thriller.

Just got back from Gatsby. Pretty good movie. Hadn't read the book, so it was interesting to me since I had no idea what it was about.

Forgot that I watched Argo and Zero Dark Thirty the other day too.

Argo was dope. ZDT was decent..the team busting into the house and the end felt way too drug out though.

Is Abrams (another Jewish geeky fella) the 'new' Spielberg of this millennia?

As well as directing the Star Trek movies, he's gonna direct the next Star Wars film . ..

And remember that film he made in ode to Spielberg about some kids who stumble on some ET shit with their cameras in the 70s?
