Copper

"Set in the Five Points neighborhood of New York City in the 1860s, focusing on a rugged young Irish cop who is forced to navigate his unruly and dangerous immigrant neighborhood while interacting with the uptown Manhattan crowd and the black community."

I would say 8/10. Definitely a quality show.

(GRADE - A+ MASTERPIECE). As a huge Stanely Kurbrick and Sci-Fi fan I was disappointed in myself when I thought that I had never seen "2001: A Space Odyssey". I actually had it on VHS as a kid but I don't remember watching it. Well better late than never and I must say it beyond lived up to the hype and Legend. The Movie actually opened in theaters 45 years ago almost to the day I watched it. The movie came out in 68', 12 years before I was born. Not only do I agree that this is probably one of the greatest sci-fi movies ever. But it's clearly one of the best movies ever.

The movie starts in prehistoric times when we were primates and shows how we evolved due to an extra-Terrestrial intervention. Then it fast forward to 2001 when were taking routine trips to the moon and found this Extra-Terrestrial technology (It's 2013, this movie was so ahead of it's time cause we still aren't doing the things in it yet). This leads a crew on a trip that tracked that signal to Jupiter. 1st the effects were amazing. For 68', I'm sure film goers were mind blown. I loved the concept as it dealt with Science, Religion, Technology, Evolution, dreams, the whole 9. The acting was top notch and of course the Direction by Kurbrick was brilliant.

This movie clearly influenced EVERY sci-fi movie after it including Classics like "Close Encounters, Star Wars and Blade Runner". I also saw it clearly influenced "Prometheus" from this past summer. Overall I enjoyed it and I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the ending. This movie gave Kurbrick his only Oscar for Best Special Effects. I loved the concept of technology having a mind of it's own. Again the movie was great and deserves the props it gets. If you haven't seen it, Rent it, download it or stream it. It's worth it.

I just watched "Shigurui:Death frenzy " Season 1. Amazing visuals , storyline and fight scenes ( very gory).

One of the best Anime series i've watched.I cannot wait for season 2.

Watched Dark Skies last night. Ill concept weak execution and the actor who played the husband was weak as fuck. Good watch but could have been a lot better.

I just watched Argo. Movie was completely different than what i thought it was gonna be. But it was good as fuck, John Goodman and that old guy were the fucking tits in that movie. That last part when they put the plan in motion was so fucking tense man haha

Dark_City_poster.jpg

(GRADE = B+) I clearly remember this coming out when I was a senior in High School but I honestly never got around to seeing it. "The Matrix Trilogy" blew up and everyone was telling me that "Dark City" influenced it. What even funnier is I loved "The Crow, I, Robot and The Knowing" which this director had did. I just hadn't watched "Dark City" Yet. So this weekend I finally said, Ok I'm going to watch this movie. Honestly, It's true, not only was The Matrix influenced in style and even a few themes. It also influenced "Memento" to me. I thought it was good. I started really slow but as you went deeper in the rabbit hole the movie went crazy. Keffer Sutherland played an interesting role. Jennifer Connelly was great.

The main actor was OK, It was like you slowly went with him. But the movie is about a guy who wakes up and is accused for murder. Then he is being hunted down by some weird race of people. As the movie goes along you find out who these people are and what they are doing. It completely smashes how you feel about reality. Even with the influence I can't put it over "Matrix" cause that film was perfect. But I give this a solid B+. It's 15 years since it came out and I was really into this film. A must see if your late and haven't seen this. I just read it's considered a Cult Classic now so it has aged really well.

a better than expected movie about an overbearing jealous boyfriend. His overreaction to his girl being late and her talking to her brother was hilarious.

A haunted house - I really hadnt set my expectations high so am not dissapointed at all. Cringe worthy comedy (if you can call it that) Cedric the entertainer for me was the highlight of the movie.

(GRADE = D) "Red Dawn" is a remake of the 1980's Cult Classic of the same name that stared Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen, Jennifer Grey and Lea Thompson. In the 80's version it was Russia that attacked us and took over a state. This time it's North Korea that does it. The Premise of the movie is what if another country took over a state, would we fight back? A group of Teenagers lead by Thor (Chris Hainsworth) ban together to fight back against the North Korea attacks. Now since I grew up with the original, I didn't go in expecting it to top it but it's basically a lazy remake cause the violence in the original was way worst. This felt like a PG13 watered down version. The acting wasn't good and you didn't feel any suspense. I suggest people watch the 1980's version and just skip this one. No shocked it was delayed several of times and flopped.

give this a solid A

i haven't thought about a movie this much since i saw inception...shit was deep & reminded me of how shallow movies today are. little subtle things like the use of colors in a particular scene, lil imagery & symbolism that you don't catch at first watch. not a lot of that in today's movies. keanu reeves wasn't made of wood, charlize theron showed some early acting chops, & this is a top 3 al pacino performance.

this didn't really live up to the hype for me. it was good, but i was expecting more of a mind fuck. being that it's a chris nolan film, i know ima have to watch it a couple more times to get the full effect of it so whenever that happens i'm sure my opinion of it will change.

give it a B.

joe flacco pass on this bullshit...waste of time.

i went into it cognizant of the poor reviews it got when it came out so i tried not to take it seriously & expect anything classic, but this shit didn't have anything to cling to - no good characters to root for, cheesy script...

the action scenes were kinda cool, but there was nothing memorable about it.

Very nice film . . Saw it last week at the cinema

Solid performances from all the leads especially Bradley Cooper. Gosling and Mendes put in work too.

Ray Liotta of course killed his role playing a nasty character - again

The mood of the film is mostly on the aura of KARMA and generational strife

I highly recommend this . .

Chris Nolan fell off artistically after Insomnia, IMO

That's his last best film.

He has a new sci-fi flick out soon. I hope he hits top form again.

tried to watch the first one when i was younger but i didn't have the patience/attention span for it.

watched it over a couple of days...nothing really to be said about it...the trilogy is definitely a timeless classic.

i don't get the hate for the 3rd one tho...it's more heavy-handed than the first two, but it's good to me *shrug*
