Niggas just cannot get over that Kim K shit huh? Lol.... That shit burns their souls

lol when niggas were talking about kanye lost wifing up a chick like kim k i defend ye slightly by pointing out many chicks you mess with have been with their fair share of guys. And even pointed out how a chick like taylor swift ran through more guys in the last 2 years than kim k has been with in 10 years.

That said im just saying if your wifey in kanyes case is a product of materialism and tabloids and corporations like E!/viacom shoving her into fame. But then you mad at corporations and materialism.

Anybody that has a JOB in American is tied into reaping the benifits of corporate success ... If you work at Walmart your reaping the benifits of corporate success ... What does that have to do with what kanye is talking about in this song? I think your confusin what his message is..

You say Kim is a product of major cooperations pushing her into fame correct? But what your neglecting to acknowledge is the general publics acceptance of that push ..their embracing of tht push ... are you saying that people were forced into watching her show? We're they forced to "keep up with the kardashians?" were they commanded to pick up and purchase those tabloids? Or are people so zombified that they can't help but to enduldge? ... Which would be interesting if that were the case.. because that train of thought ... That lack of free thinking eerily resembles some characteristics associated with a "slaves" mentality ...

There is a difference between working for a corporation and bragging about elite luxuries and embracing material objects. Kanye doesn't just work at a corporation like def jam; he is one of the new slaves buying the lastest watch or car or gucci bag then bragging about it in raps.

And yes the people created the monster that is the current Kim K. But she has still made the choice to monitize her family drama and gossip for a way to make money. which in essence she is a slave to the gossip hungry and mellowdramatic society she makes a living off of.

Now, we all know Ye isn't the most political rapper and sometimes the nigga just loves to run his mouth. Just like "New Slaves" will get listen for its content, this article will be read because I mean America loves to beat on Kanye West. I'm a fan of his but I cannot wait until he goes into hiding again I'm tired of hearing of shit that has nothing to do with music

Just a douchebag with NOTHING to say but wont shut up. Likely has a personal problem with Kanye that either involves hatred of blacks, rap, Kanye's Taylor Swift incident or all of the previous things mentioned.

Song is great and actually has a message. People complain that rappers dont say anything or take any stances on current events. When one does they leak tears out the pussy. FOH...

the song says "I would rather be a dick than a swallower. Right now the dude who wrote this article is trina be a dick but prove a point. You just being a swallower ignoring the fact kanye contradicting what he talking about. What message does the song have? Fuck the large corporations....but air yeezy's coming this july! fuck the materalistic slaves! oh no kim baby i wasn't talking about you!

co-sign

kinda reminds me of rocawear's line of t-shirts “occupy all streetz” and how none of the profit wasn't originally meant to go to the occupy wall street movement

just feels dirty.....nh

especially considering anti-corporatism is at an all time high

rather ye's musics speaks on how he positively dealt with the grief of losing his mother, or his impending fatherhood and how important his father was in his life, etc ...shit that would actually ring true

What's wrong with taking pride in things you've worked hard for? A nigga cant get money? a nigga cant buy nice shit? You can catogorize plenty of things as "material" the price dosent soley dictate an items "matericalistic nature" thats why i brought up walmart... anything thats not essential to surving can be considered "material" to an extent... so should everybody cease purchasing anything? Do you think thats what kanye is trying to say with this song?Again I think people are confusing the message in this song ...when he was talking about materialism it was only deployed to show the listener what he believes certain individuals think blacks SOLEY care about ... He wasn't criticizing consumerism on the whole per say he was criticizing how certain factions in this country generalize ALLLLl black people's priorities ... That generalization is what he was calling rich nigga racism ... Like I said the song ain't about critzing materialism ... It's about abuse of power and coporate exploitation.. Niggas aren't even talking about the second verse of the song (which is straight truth) because they so caught up in him saying "Alexander Wang" .... We gotta do better than that..

And yes the people created the monster that is the current Kim K. But she has still made the choice to monitize her family drama and gossip for a way to make money. which in essence she is a slave to the gossip hungry and mellowdramatic society she makes a living off of.

I would say she made that choice based off public interest tho....understand... Who's fault is that bruh? Her popularity her fame is directly representative of american societies cumalative state of consciousness and their desired interest... She's the slave but she's making the money?meh I don't know about that ... If people didnt tune in or show interest she wouldn't have the choice to monitize her family available to her in the first place... I dont know how you can demonize her ... When she has one of the most watched shows on tv ..that's the people's fault ... She's just making a buck off the thirst ...sound like she the dick and not the swallower... But anyways this is all off topic as I said before the song aint even about materialism persay so Kim aint really got shit to do with shit ..

There is no doubt that his lyrics speak various levels of truth

Everything else he could possibly write is irrelevant if the tone and content is anything like what lead to this line

If the message is good, clearly this bitch is hating the messenger

sometimes the messenger can taint the message...

and if you read the rest he's not really hating

among other things he's just pointing out the dichotomy that exist within ye's music... for example, one minute ye is speaking on the the perils and pitfalls of materialism within the black community, then the next he's referring to himself as the self proclaimed louis vuitton don

that is somewhat of the appeal of his music for some and he's not the only one doing it, but not to that extreme. comes off as manipulative and disingenuous

kinda off topic but ''new slaves'' musically speaking was somewhat weak. i like the production but everything else was meh...

He's not hating, but he's asking questions and assuming the answers are going to be something he won't like in order to further his point instead of actually engaging in a critique. He questions what Kanye would do with the money made from the song, then goes on to assume and damn near write in a factual tone that they know for sure Kanye won't do anything positive but instead will simply go on tour to profit more. Shit like that indicates a clear bias against the messenger (Kanye) and when you have a bias against the messenger you won't hear the message clearly because in your mind you already decided part of it is bullshit. The writer in this sense seemed to go into listening to the song looking for something to criticize.

But I ain't even gonna act holier than thou

Cause fuck it, I went to Jacob with twenty-five thou

Before I had a house and I'd do it again

Cause I want to be on 106 and Park pushin' a Benz

I want to act ballerific like it's all terrific

I got a couple past due bills, I won't get specific

I got a problem with spendin' before I get it

We all self-conscious, I'm just the first to admit it

The article is right. Fuck Kanye west. The only new slave is him because he knocked up a bitch that miles Austin fucked at jerryworld. The song is garbage. No message just Kanye being a bitch like always. He's washed up so now he trying to pander to loser ass dumb niggas who think this song "deep". How Kanye trying to start a revolution when he walking into street signs with his head down like a faggot. Kanye west is the Brian griffin of hip hop

The crab in the barrel syndrome is real as shit. Every nigga from the hood that's ever listened to rap in the history of ever dreams of having the money fame and bad bitches that Kanye has. The problem you see with this is once you've made it, you're looked at as a "brand new" nigga. So what he can ball out and got a bad bitch that ALL her critics would fuck right now. Does that mean that he can't speak on ills that he sees? Wasn't the main issue with Kanye as of late was that he was too materialistic? So you want him to give up all the shit he worked for so that he can be a relevant voice on negative issues affecting race?? If that's not hating, what is it?

maybe

this shouldn't be, but as i said before the messenger can sometimes taint the message....even if the message rings true

with that said i don't agree with everything the author says....

however i do agree that it is troubling that ye's surroundings and lifestyle, don't always mirror his lyrics, views, etc yet he is still applauded and praised for being real, or some sort of rebel or, voice of the people

and really he is not the only one to call kanye out for basically being a "walking contradiction"

yes man is not perfect. sometimes we do not practice what we preach. its natural....but let's not act like we don't call public figures, our peers out on their hypocrisies, and not everyone has the influence ye has either

anyways if ye's intent with his new music is to enlighten and inspire a change in others he's going to have a hard time reaching those who need it the most ( i.e. the youth) considering one of his latest hits "mercy" is still in rotation on radio stations around the country, and pick up any magazine or turn on the tv and he can be seen driving in his lambo with kim kardashian ...ur actions speak louder then your words
