Austin, JR, Y2J, Cena & Others Speak On Rock

By Ryan Clark on February 15, 2011

Jim Ross, Chris Jericho and Steve Austin spoke about the Rock’s return last night, here is what they had to say…

John Cena: “CeNation. Rock was in rare form tonight. It was great to see him enjoying himself out there. Even if it was at my expense. I’ve been Called alot worse. Just glad to see him back in action.”

Jim Ross: “Got 2 hand it 2 WWE…HBK in HOF, Austin on Tough Enough, Rock to host/star @ WM27…MUCH more on the way. Look out Atlanta!”

Steve Austin: “it was great to see The Rock back on RAW tonight…helluva promo from an electrifying cat. great stuff heading into Mania.”

Val Venis: “I am just as happy as anyone else the Rock is back. As long as he sticks to the mic, we are good. Cuz his wrestling ability is questionable. Not hating on Rock. He is AWESOME on the mic. His charisma is unmatched. But lets be honest, Rock>Hardy & Venis>Rock! HONESTLY!”

CM Punk: “Rock owes me fifty bucks for going 20 minutes past the hour, making me miss my valentines day reservations at Nobu.”

Big Show: “Did anyone notice the chill bumps on Rocks arms as he gave his catch phrase? The rock is back!”

Taz: “GREAT JOB by Rock! Miss having steaks with him & Dud’s after shows!!! Great times! 1 of the greatest of all times!!!”

Chris Jericho: “Congratulations to one of my favorite opponents and greatest rivals on returning to the WWE. The Rock is the BEST promo man of all time…”

val is the most random name up there....why he hating though??....he should knows know one cares about him though

and lol @ cm punk

I was on the phone with some girl chit chatting and rocks music hit I hung up and she called back and kept calling back.....i didnt answer my phone till 11:30 dude was on for about 25 minutes and it seemed like 10 min...

it tells you alot about the current wwe product today when people are saying they havent watched it for years but once they heard about The Rock they might retune to the WWE programming just for The Rock.. not the WWE.

The Rock 1.. WWE 0.

Wow, The Rock killed it. Current wrestlers just can't compare, I actually watched Raw just to see who it was and I wasn't disappointed. Rocky!

For real though, do the Rock and Cena have some type of beef?

this is just a tid bit of what he said a few years back.....
WRESTLING superstar John Cena has blasted former WWE champion The Rock for turning his back on the business.

Cena, who has managed to combine acting and grappling, feels that Rocky has betrayed his fans by concentrating solely on Hollywood.

Rock will make a one-off appearance at this year's WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony to induct his dad and granddad, but John told us: "He is a genuinely nice guy and a fantastic human being.

"What I kind of get peeved about, and this is my Achilles heel, is that I've wanted to do this my whole life.

"Rock falls into that category. At one point he loved wrestling and wanted to do this all his life.

"So explain to me why he can't come back for our 15th anniversary show or why he can't make an appearance at WrestleMania. I wish he'd just show up, say hi and leave. Do the eyebrow once and get out of town.

"Simply put it's because he wants to be an actor and there's nothing wrong with that, because he's truly found another passion. He's good at acting. His films make money."

"Associating with sports entertainment doesn't do much for his acting career. I get it.

"Just don't f*** me around and tell me that you love this.

"That's the only thing that gets me really p***ed off.

"Our fan base have so much admiration for him, he's got to respect that. He doesn't give anything back."

Yeah I remember this from awhile back. I feel where he's coming from as a fan that really never got a last match from him.... but its still like Jeff Jarrett talking shit to Hogan in my opinion

Wait Rock vs. Goldberg doesn't count as a last match? Plus all those other surprise appearances to help Mick Foley out?

Ok If your not joking then.... no. Before this, the last time the rock was on Wwetv was a comparable to a bad chick giving you a DRY ass hand job. Needed a retirement match or something.
