I remember hearing the show was way over budget. This was suppose to be one normal session, but they clearly stopped production at part 1, reassessed, and just decided to wrap it all up in 5 episodes for part 2...obviously "the final season". People don't seem to realize animation was only used for Jaden's stuff tho. He probably had scheduling conflicts, and yea, it saves money. Overall dope show tho.

Welp lol. Now what happens to some of the characters is up to our interpretation.

I think they would've delve into Mylene becoming evern bigger, but her gettin caught up in the evils of it.

I definitely see her falling deeper into drugs, and the explosion of cocaine.

They would've continued wit the rise of hip hop. Possibly the season finale ending wit emergence of Run DMC

I also see them touching on the beginning of the AIDS epidemic, and Dizz dealing wit hiding who he is.

The Get Down crew would be fractured, wit each member branching out into their own thing. But eventually coming together.

Cadillac startin his label, but Annie throws a monkey wrench to the the point where he ends up killin her. Or somebody else does it.

This show had so much goddamn potential. They should have continued but looked for ways to lower the budget. Im sure thats not as easy as i try to make it sound, but this show could have gone so many ways. I would have loved to be a writer on this show.

I just hope someone sees the potential in a show like this and makes another Hip Hop show starting at the beginning of the culture.
