Maybe I'm having a braindead moment but I don't understand the very first line. It seems like he's been trying to pitch the film since 1942, but that doesn't make sense.

You gotta realize too, that movie making is a money business no matter who it is. If Black movies don't consistently turn a profit, they are going to be hard to finance by major studios. I go to see predominately Black if not all Black movies, and the vast majority of the audience is white. I finally cracked and went to see Madea's Big Happy Family and there were almost no black people besides myself. Same happened with Norbit. Alot of Black people will buy the bootleg instead of spending the money where it counts. How many times do you get approached by a Black guy selling all the latest DVD's on your way to the swap meet? It's simple supply and demand. Get some black butts in the seats and I bet you the scenario will change real quick.
