So is it that stuff never happened or it happened but his mom made him apologize....and if it happened but he apologized that dont mean shit like a racist apologizing after say fuck all niggers. You know they still mean it

Exactly LOL these niggas man, anything to justify their Jay-Z hate.

He's not saying Jay didn't fuck Karmen. He's saying it didn't go down the way Jay painted it slow niggas.

Anyway, I never really analyzed BP2 like that, but now that it's been brought up. It does kinda come off as Jay coppin pleas to those that supported Sas moreso than a real diss. It's not like he's really going at Nas. It's more like he's spending all his time explaining why everyone should think he's better than Nas.

Why is Nas so godlike on the internet?

No offense to one of the goats.

You stans think he excels well in everything.

He got bodied period.

How so? Explain in a paragraph how Jay bodied Nas LYRICALLY without comparing their bank accounts, the women they were involved in, Jay's business endeavors, their record sales and commercial acclaim.

I don't bring up this at all. It's silly.

If I did Nas wouldn't see top 10.

Nas is behind Jay.

True..but that would've been hoe shit as well.

You know I've never even thought to answer this question, but why did Jay go after Nas in the first place. By all accounts Nas wasn't even very active in the game at the time. Now we all know Nas believes it was a hoe move and basically just Jay trying to sneak attack him. Has Jay ever come out and say why he went after Nas out of nowhere? It does seem like kind of a bitch move to go after someone who really wasn't even focused on rapping at the time.

I like both songs, great battle, and great moment in hiphop histor. Nas cut Jay head off in the end. Eye for an Eye freestyle diss was viscous as well, but doesn't get mentioned a lot.

That shit is classic. Nas threw some heavy shots on that one:

You can't B.I., see I'm eternal, not luck

You get shot-up, boxed-up next for the grave

Your flow is one dimensional, your level is 2nd grade

You're on top -- WHAT?

Copy and fuck, I said it first, you repeated

Your false crown covered in dirt - defeated

Y'all niggas all hail, the King is dead

He running like a bitch with his tail between his legs

'Stillmatic', still eye 4 an eye, wanna be God

You're just the next rapper to die, fucking with Nas

Threads like this are why i never posted too much here. Nas fans when it comes to this battle are worse than Kobe & Wayne fans combined. I would love to see a logical point by point discussion of this battle someday but it will never happen b/c niggas get into their fantasies and want to make shit true more than it was & let their imagination recap try to pass off as fact.

Digressing

they both had been subliminally dissing each other since 99. i think oddly enough it was Bleek that caused Jay to jump in it

Jay shouldve directed all of Takeover towards Nas. I think he would've had a better case.

Take Over was good though. But his lines about Nas albums were bullshit to me. It Was Written was great in my opinion and I Am had some great material on there as well.

You could tell Jay admired Nas a lot though.

"Who's the best mc's, jay-z,biggie, and Nas"

Used him for Dead Presidents and Rap Game/Crack Game.

Prodigy was a bigger threat and more well received than Nas at the time (2000-2001) coming off Murda Muzik & HNIC either way- how is that relevant to what he said about nas. & just like you have your opinion of those albums jay has his. Niggas kill me. "oh Jay like his music therefore any statement he says about him isnt potent or true" always been a weak case lol. Point of the verse that Nas had fallen way off. He emphasized it in so many ways yet this is the only one brought up...wonder why

He was going by the Hip Hop critics for the love of...........

MANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

There's still a reaction button on these forums named after a certain HipHop song . .

Any reply after that was totally irrelevant and weak

And oh yeah, LRNA was an OG song with OG lyrics, the other song was way too long and mimes an Austin Powers catchphrase. .

Niggas talking about Nas fathering Jay act like Jay wasn't dudes boss or something.

Nas signing to Def Jam> Ether

Actions> Words

You know when NaS performed an intimate gig in London last year for a crowd of mostly females as he was about rounding off, the crowd screamed for 'Ether' to be performed . .

NaS laughed it off

So, what?

Ether was still weak.

Stillmatic Freestyle and Eye for Eye Freestyle.

Jay Z thought otherwise when he appeared on a New York radio station at that time and was asked his opinion of the song . .

It's an opinion.

I couldn't careless about what most hip hop fans say or what Jay himself said.

That's a weak diss track.

I see you read my mind.

I was gonna put Hit Em Up as a overrated diss, too.
