so y is Tom Cavanaugh playing zoom in season 2 along with a good version of harrison wells??.... it sure sounds like tom in the teaser playing zoom...

No.

Again the character Cavanagh played was Professor Zoom. The villain for this coming season is Zoom.

Zoom is a completely different character though also a Reverse Flash.

okay thanks for the help... looking forward 2 season 2.. cant wait !!!

His powers are based around time manipulation yes. So he can be perceived to be even faster than speed force based speedsters for that reason. But technically he really isn't. He's just gradually slowing down and even stopping time around them.

here's different zooms from alternate realities and different time periods. You will understand when season 2 airs. Shit it like game of thrones, once you get the hang of it wont nothing be confusing anymore.

Does anyone else think it's stupid to have one character named zoom, and a completely different character professor zoom?

Seriously, they couldn't have picked another name?

They're all speedsters...really they are all called Flash, but the bad ones are named Zoom, to help differentiate I suppose.

back then, all dc characters either had boring names, or over the top ridiculous names

Zoom was created in the 2000's so "back then" doesn't really reach that far back.

The truth? Geoff Johns named Zoom as an homage to Professor Zoom. I don't think he even knew himself at the time that he'd be bringing back PROFESSOR Zoom just a few years later.

You realise that homosexuals and Jews have ran the entertainment industry for like the last 80 years, right? If not, welcome to what everybody knew already for a while.

And you do realize that for most of the 80 years they weren't trying to force their lifestyle on the world and trying to convert the youth, right? But on to more important shit, is it fair to say that it's either The Flash or Daredevil had the G.O.A.T. first season?

Ehh. That's hard to choose. But imma go wit Daredevil. The I had to stop myself from binge watching the whole season in one day. Flash took 2 episodes for me to get into. Daredevil I was instantly hook 1st ep.

Wally West is racing to The CW’s hit DC Comics series, The Flash, as Keiynan Lonsdale joins the cast as a new season two regular!

The small screen DC Universe continues to expand today with the announcement, straight from DC Comics proper, that The Divergent Series star Keiynan Lonsdale has joined the cast of The CW‘s hit series, “The Flash.” Lonsdale will play none other than Wally West in the show’s second season!

Wally West, who made his first appearance in 1960’s “The Flash” #110, was created by John Broome and Carmine Infantino. The nephew of Iris West (played on the series by Candice Patton), Wally West became, in the comics, the Kid Flash after an accident similar to the one that befell Barry Allen. Later on, Wally West wound up taking on the identity of The Flash himself following DC’s Crisis on Infinite Earths.

“Just like when we met Grant [Gustin] for the first time, we instantly knew Keiynan embodied all the heart and courage of a hero,” says Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg. “We are so excited to be bringing this much-beloved character onto the show.”

Wally West is far from the only familiar comic book character set to appear in “The Flash” season two. Following a pretty epic first season finale, the series has revealed that it will explore the multiverse and will introduce another famous speedster when Teddy Sears (“Masters of Sex,” “Raising the Bar”), guest stars as Jay Garrick. Best known to comic book readers as the original, Golden Age Flash, the character’s iconic hat made a brief appearance in the season one finale.

Based on the characters from DC Comics, “The Flash” is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television. The series returns for season two on Tuesday, October 6, at 8/7c on The CW.

I'm thinking he'll be another relative (Joe's nephew or cousin) or they will take advantage of the time continuum to introduce a son to Joe...

Since the actor is in his 20's like Grant I wonder if we're going to see both a younger teen version and an older version from the future who has taken over The Flash mantle throughout the season. Maybe he travels back in time somehow? Might explain how Zoom is involved in all this since he's Wally's nemesis.
