Their lineup of shows is different from a while back. Supernatural has been on for a while and kinda started what the CW is now. Not that dreamy shit like Smallville used to be.

Ollie was catching bodies in that first season with no fucks given

Also Greg Berlanti (creator of arrow and flash) is making a supergirl series, be on the lookout.

The turn around this guy has made with DC fans is amazing. It wasn't too long ago that he was being crucified for his shitty Green Lantern movie script revision.

Ok, I'm reviving this thread..........

Premiere night is tomorrow.........and no I didn't see the leaked pilot.

I'll be adding some of Flash's origin stories and best storyline from the comics in the thread

(if you want Batman - look in "Gotham" thread, Arrow - "Arrow" thread)

Since this show focus on the "2nd" Flash, Barry Allen....we'll start with him:

Author: Iris Allen

First Appearance: Flash v.2 #75 (April 1993)

The biography of Barry Allen, written by his widow, Iris. The book has featured in several storylines, first appearing in an edition from the future during The Return of Barry Allen (1993). The time-lost Eobard Thawne had brought a copy with him to visit his idol, before learning he would become the Flash’s greatest enemy.

The book next appeared in Race Against Time (1996). Abra Kadabra and Dr. Polaris had found the discarded copy, then proceeded to act on their knowledge of the future... and kidnap Iris to make sure she wrote it!

The book has shown up occasionally since then, but a more frequent theme has been the burden of Iris’s own knowledge of the future.

In 1997, DC released The Life Story of the Flash, a hardcover (now in TPB form as well) combining comic-style sequences and prose, with the conceit that it was Iris’ book. The cover even credited the book to Iris Allen. Actually written by Mark Waid and Brian Augustyn, it featured back story on both Barry and Iris, retellings of key stories, and cryptic hints about the future.

Now, it's the "3rd" Flash and probably the most beloved : Wally West

wallywest2.jpg

Anyhow, Terminal Velocity revolves around Wally West getting a glimpse of the future and then doing all sorts of Machiavellian things in a gambit to avoid that future. We are led to believe that he saw himself be killed, but in reality, he saw his girlfriend, Linda Park be killed. So he vowed to do anything he could to save her, even if it meant manipulating his fellow speedsters Impulse and Jesse Quick to do so. In the end, Wally is sucked into the Speed Force – but can his love for Linda bring him back? Ask Taylor Dayne – she will let you know if that is possible. Mark Waid wrote it and a variety of artists worked on this storyline, from Mike Wieringo in #0, Salvador Larroca for the next four issues, then a split issue between Salvador Larroca and Carlos Pacheco and finally the last issue, the double-sized #100, with art by Salvador Larroca, Carlos Pacheco AND Oscar Jimenez.

Then, Geoff Johns (famed writer of Green Lantern: Rebirth) brought back the original Flash (Barry Allen) for a pivotal "rebirth" series that pretty much lays the foundation for what would lead into Final Crisis .....

Geoff Johns and Ethan Van Sciver, the visionaries responsible for the blockbuster GREEN LANTERN: REBIRTH and THE SINESTRO CORPS WAR, comes the start of an explosive and jaw-dropping epic that will reintroduce to Barry Allen, the modern age Flash who single-handedly birthed the Silver Age of comics! DC history will be made, and the Flash legacy will be redefined!

How many of ya'll do torrents? Some of these Flash collections I'm finding online are pretty big.

For example -- Flash: Flashpoint --saw it online but it has all the issues and ties-ins which makes it huge. Or do ya just want the main issues (1-5)?
