Here's a question that will show my ignorance and laziness...
What's the difference between DC and Marvel Universes?
And they intertwine right?
I'm becoming a fan and need to do my homework, but if someone can sum it up real quick I would appreciate it...
@DillaDeaf maybe you can help?
Always loved Superman and Batman films...but Flash and Arrow is new to me...
And where does X-Men fit into all of this???
Lol...sorry, I will do some research when I get time.
@DNB1
Nothing wrong with your questions, there are many that aren't comic book heads or just starting. Remember as a beginning comic book reader, there's no such thing as an stupid question, it's only a stupid question if you don't ASK a question.
DC and Marvel are the 2 "big boys" of comics... DC was always more darker alot of times than Marvel, but the darker titles moved over to Vertigo (DC's comic family)
They don't interwine...yes there was crossover, but best believe some take their cues from each other, your fav superhero was probably a copy of another hero from another company
Supes and Bats are normally the easiest to start and work with. Flash and Arrow, I'm still educating myself on both..but I'm lucky in the sense I know the major players outside of the Flash and Arrow universe and sort of know where certain storylines go.
X-Men is something else. Basically the bottom line is to use this analogy --XMen is the "Star Trek" version of comics book industry -- by that I mean, Stan Lee use that brand to tackle racism, hate, cultural differences back in the 60s (same way Star Trek did).
I'm still researching comic stuff everyday.
