So much for the Washington Redskins' quiet offseason.

In an insanely gutsy move, the Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to trade Donovan McNabb to the Redskins, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. This is no belated April Fool's joke.

The compensation of the deal is not yet known and it wouldn't surprise us to hear a big-name veteran involved in the deal. Schefter says Washington's second-rounder is likely to be included.

Donovan McNabb linked to Redskins in trade rumors

Earlier Saturday, FoxSports.com's Jay Glazer tweeted that the Redskins inquired about Pro Bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb, whom the Philadelphia Eagles apparently are determined to trade. And Glazer emphasized in a follow-up tweet that the Redskins' interest was "more than just mild ... they even talked players."

Glazer, however, did not indicate when the trade talks occurred. If the Redskins did express interest in dealing for McNabb, they probably did so much earlier in the process, a person involved with the situation said Saturday night. Through a team spokesman, the Redskins declined to comment.
