Take Trey Songz for example. His first album, that shit was soulful as hell. Matter fact it still gets played in my house.
Now compare that first album to what you hear out of him today, his music sounds souless.
ANd thats what music needs to get back as a whole. It's soul.
Donell Jones, Tank and Jaheim dropped some albums not that long ago, but yet they aren't getting anywhere near the recognition that they should be getting.
Nah I feel you on that like I said.... you like a certain thing from the artists you listen to, I get that shit. There is a a lot of bullshit on the radio and out there period. A lot of it lol. Even dudes who put out good music on the low (Drake to me) have to put out wack shit on the radio just to get played, which is why I kind of get the do it for the money point you made before. You aren't totally off base. The rewards are there for sifting through today's hip hop are there though..
