The Doc brought the West back a bit....GKMC brought a tru sense of HIP-HOP as a whole back a bit.

Are you from Cali? If not i don't think you can really make that statement cause The Doc had a way bigger impact out here

Documentary for me, I Still listen to a lot of those tracks on the regular. It hasn't evenbeen a year and most of GKMC is already out of heavy rotation. It is a real close call tho

Lol@ my stans on here, already acknowledge that this thread is a repeat in like the 3rd post and on the opening post asked for the mods to include a poll, to no avail.

After further review, this thread is relevant specially after recent events. And I agree, that all around, Game had a stronger album, ppl are getting carried away, but I don't think that impact wise GKMC has outdone the Documentary, imo.

Real shit even doe K.Dot one of my fav new MCs and GKMC is was one of the most dope albums 2 drop in a hot minute the Doc was more hot 2 me. My head was banging more 2 the Doc than GKMC and Game was spitting trill shit then. Both classics IMO but gotta ride with Game. I aint really fucked with homie since The Doctors Advocate N/H

As far as impact i dont know. Its really too early to say.

But i honestly think The Documentary might have it. GKMC made a big mark on hip-hop but i wouldnt call it impact cuz things havent really changed so far in the game yet.

However, The Documentary/The Game immediately opened up a door for West Coast artists and had the labels come knocking for these other artists like a Kendrick, Jay Rock etc. years ago. It re-created a market.

So so far The Documentary has GKMC beat on impact but we'll have to wait a few years and see what happens..
