Overrated? Naw Vibe

Documentary was better.

Documentary was cool, a nice debut album and it brought back the WC but I think Drs Advocate >> Documentary.

But to put Doc vs GKMC, nah, Kendrick brought back storytelling with ease.

Too early to call GKMC a classic, let it marinate a few years. Game's album put the West back on the map though.

Please, get out of here with this.

He's not lying... who was hot in the west at the time other than Snoop?

The documentary is better IMO. Kendrick got a unique style but his storytelling style isn't for everyone. I think more people enjoyed the documentary.

Are we taking points off for the amount of help 50 gave Game on the album?

No, cause Kendrick had MAAD help too...

Who gave Kendrick the songs?

Ali, Soul, and a bunch of other niggas helped make that album what it is...Of course it was his brain child, but it was a collaborative effort....

Giving concepts =/= Giving actual finished songs to another rapper.

Two totally different shit.

Say what you want about Game's name-dropping, but he had the best production of his day, and made a gritty album for the streets. There are songs off dat joint that I still bump to this day!

As far as K Dot is concerned.....I know this dude is supposed to be the future of hip hop, but I just ain't feeling his music. I give him props for being original and all, but dude has a cadence and delivery that throws me off all da time. I swear, this nigga be sounding like a Martian or something, especially when he tries to rap on those hooks.

C'mon ya'll...Good Kid M.A.A.D. City is dope but The Documentary gave a much needed light to the future of West Coast Hip Hop which is Kendrick now...plus ironically albums are Dr. Dre co-signatures.

Game's album..though I remember feeling like as much he named dropped dre name on there, it seemed like dre didn't really wanna fuck wit him like that

Documentary for me I thought about this comparison too to myself. Game has quotables on that album too.

The Documentary imo. Nothin against GKMC tho

GKMC would win in a poll easy cause niggas don't like Game anymore.

Stop believing Curtis, b...Niggas sell "songs" wit the beat and hook ready ery day, and then the rappers that get them go from there...It's not like 50 was sittin there teachin Game how to rap...
