The Deeper Story of Kendrick Lamar’s “To Pimp a Butterfly”

Experienced music or "album" listeners caught pretty much all of this at least on a song to song basis. Maybe the overview of the whole story didn't resonate, UNTIL he brought it all together with the last track, but good breakdown nonetheless.

K. Dot will definitely be remembered in HipHop history for TPAB. Maybe not now but in 10, 20 years time.. .

I felt the same way when KanYe dropped Late Registration following The College Dropout; an incredible sophomore album

Yeah that's how it's supposed to go with good music, choosing a song off an album shouldn't be an easy task...

Right now "These Walls" is the song I fuck the most with...

I hope his next album has a few more king kunta type vibes. This album is a masterpiece but has many sections that aren't great for multiple listens, the flow keeps getting stunted by the multiple messages and beat switches. When you driving you car, or washing the dishes (doing that now) it isn't as good as good kid maad city.

What would have been dope was if he had did the videos in sequential order as continuations to paint the picture of the album.

For Free

King Kunta

These Walls

U and For Sale
