its take time but not what 12 years damn

No excuses from me, but dude has done plenty of other things in 12 years. Detox itself has been scrapped and re-booted a couple of times since it was announced.

The most important quote in the whole interview. People don't understand that you can't force creativity. Pushing the envelope for the sake of pushing the envelope never wins because the average listener is not paying attention to the technique and mechanics behind making music. Chronic and 2001 seem like they were born out of spontaneity and were more in the moment projects rather than "let me create something to re-invent the wheel". Dr. Dre has never been that type of producer to create something left field for the sake of it. His main aim is quality rather than innovation.

The pressure is definitely on for Detox and Dre knows it. This is supposed to be his last album and he not only has to turn in a quality product, but one that makes an impression on longtime fans and one that captures a new audience.

lol this guy............

Dre's lawyer considering how you reseach reasons and excuses

When you think about it tho it seems like nobody is feelin' it.

It seems like Dre ain't fuckin' with niggas or niggas ain't fuckin wit' him. I mean remember the Cube shit? Now DOC? Quite a few ppl from his staff/production team left and felt the same way, Snoop and Dre barely fuck with each other like they used to, 50 and Dre seem to have an on and off relationship and same thing with Game. I mean remember the way Dre did Bishop with his first single? Remember all his old homies who felt that Dre left them hangin' just days after working with him? Remember Sam Sneed just recently?

IMO it seems like the only person Dre fucks with is Eminem and that is cuz Eminem is Interscope's/Aftermath's cashcow and anything Jimmy says, Dre'll do.

But also fellas alot of ppl don't know that Dre sold all his shares/stocks from Aftermath to Jimmy back in 2005-2006 and that is prolly why Dre is his slave now. So i guess he really sold his soul.

Definitely explains why his music production is soulless.

thats why im saying i think its a better move to birth a new artist or two rather bringing in a bunch of established artist, besides maybe some ghost written lyrics i dont even want to see jay or nas involved in the project, and theres nothing he can do with 50 thats gonna sound good anymore, one last collab with eminem, snoop, cube and a nwa reunion track with a unreleased eazy e verse would be dope or have his voice sampled on the beat, but instead he'll probably have young money involved in the project but not the doc smh

d.o.c wernt the only ghostwriter on 2001, em, jay and royce had the big hits on that joint... still im a big fan of the doc, be interesting to see his next moves... 'no one can do it better' is a classic

it wont be the same without D.O.C helping out.Alot of niggaz fucked up like that.they get a certain amount of money and fame they forget the people who got them there.all money aint good money bruh.Family should come first before anything.I did hear dre was a shiesty nigga tho,i still in denial of that.I know he's trying to do this thing etc.I believe D.O.C did alot to get Dre where he is now.It takes dre damn near forever to make a album.Im like wtf is going on.

the 1st 3

unquestionable

the last 2?

you REALLY don't like the guy.

Jermaine Dupri is RIDICULOUSLY UNDERRATED. That nigga does major, major work all the time for a lot of artists.

And if by Diddy, he meant The Hitmen...then, I'd agree...

I dont get all the dre hate. Maybe he wants to work with other people....Its called artistic freedom!! He can work with whom ever he wants to. Im sure DOC aint broke. I bet Dre has all kinds of niggas in his ear telling him "do this, do that" Its his fucking album, he can do what he wants. Was niggas rushin mozart? Was einstein listening to weed carriers saying "hurry up with that theory of relativity? Dude has made alot of superstars in his time, made alot of money....Maybe he wants to just do it his way this time. He didnt put all this work in over the years and earned the stripes he has to do what you or I say so....Its just an album.Get off the mans nuts. Theirs plenty of other music to listen to.

Smh @ niggas thinking he coming out with a new bible or something...he aint even a rapper. Its his legacy, let him decide what he wants to do with it

weak lame medicore subpar bullshit

should all ways be called for what it is

regardless who the creator is or what they did 10 or 20 years ago.

Thats one of the problem s as to why hip hop suck creative, to many people giving niggas that could really up the antiy passes

based solely on past accommishment

And people are hyping it up EXACTLY due to what the man put out ten and 20 years ago, so thats a contradiction in itself

We all heard 2001, does anyone call Still D.R.E the best record on that album? NO, But that was the lead single, and 2001 turned out to be a great album....so give it a rest, and actually wait to pass judgement.

Damn.... sounded like some real shit

But I can't help but thinking no matter what dre puts out, its going to be a disappointment...

Especially after reading this. And I think Dre was rapping about this on that I Need A Doctor joint... well someone probably wrote it for him

Relaspe was mainly produced by Dre and his battalion of co-producers

add the lame duck duds he recently produced for 50

add the weak ass forgettable leak sinlges (even his most die hard blind follower find themselves hard press to forced themselves to like)

and we can come to a rationale ideal of what's in store for us when it does....rather IF it does get released
