Lois doesnt neccessarily have to be hot. She wasnt hot in the original Donner films. Thats the problem with some flicks they go for the looks with female leads without focusing on acting ability or fit

I think Amy was great casting espeically after her last role in The Fighter. She pulled off take no prisoners attitude that Lois needs. She also can pull of the look.

She was basically a white trash version of Lois in The Fighter so I see no reason why she cant make the transition. She's an Oscar/BAFTA nominated actress....TWICE...she can pull it off easily.
