My job fired this nerdy white boy at the end of the day. He stormed out of the building with a look of determination. Next morning I called in & the supervisor asked why. I told that fool "that white boy has the personality to come back & shoot that place up, evacuate that building now!!!!"

As long as u have time u should be good. There is no need for an excuse. Some jobs might have a policy where u need to notify them an hour before ur start time. Follow ur policy. I mean it ain't even may yet...u can't possibly be out of days
