Had a female who claimed her grandmother fell down a flight of stairs twice and was trapped in a burning building. Then her house flooded. Then her mother fell fatally ill. Then her boyfriend was shot and killed, although that one actually happened... but by then she already had gotten fired.

Oh yeah this other chick came into work, on a Friday, said she got bit by a spider, and walked right back out.

Same chick came in dressed like she was about to go to a party, sat in the bathroom for like 20 minutes, came out saying she was sick and her mother was already coming to pick her up.

What about you misread the schedule? I use my sick days wisely, on holidays.

I choose not to work on busy thanksgiving anymore. I hear about it the day after and laugh my ass off.

Tell them the washing machine broke and you have to wait for them to come fix it, then the next day say how they didn't get there til late and wasn't worth coming in, I used that excuse on a Tuesday and a Friday one week.
