The Biggest Myth in HipHop is that JaRule's career ended because of 50Cent.

yeah 50 cent came just in time when Murder Inc. was losing it's steam

but i still think it's fucked up how people turned their backs on Ja when 50 cent crashed the party

if i was Ja i wouldnt make another album for these fake ass fans

JaFool ended his own career. When Shady and 50 were dropping nuclear bombs on his whole label, his only answer was to shoot bacc with a water pistol, while standin in the nuclear Aftermath on "Clap Bacc."

FREE JA-RULE

Ja going upstate to do his bid, 30 months his TSI is today but I thought we could take a glance at his career:

(1999-2004)-6 years

"Venni Vetti Vicci"(1999) = Platinum

"Rule 3:36" =(2000) 3X Platinum

"Pain is love" = (2001) 3X Platinum

"The Last Temptation" (2002) = Platinum

"R.U.L.E" = (2004) Gold

8 #1 singles.

Ja-Rule had one of the best runs at the top of any rapper, his reign lasted a year longer than DMX's, he has more platinum solo-albums than 50cent, and more #1 singles than JayZ & Nas combined.

So what happened??

1.) 2002 was the last year of of NY's dominance on hiphop, from 2003 on to 2011 the South has dominated.

2.) Murder Inc. was raided by the Feds in 2003 and the distractions and possible prison sentences had everybody involved with the label unable to focus 100% on their music careers.

3.) Emenim dissed Ja-Rule and went to war with him and enlisted all of Shady records to go to war with Ja Rule in 2004 with songs like "Hail Mary", "Bully", "Bodyguard" "The Rulers Back" "Haileys Revenge" etc., and multiple freestyles.

These 3 factors along with his budding movie career, and the fickleness of the rap fans who found new interest in genres of rap like "Snap-music", "Trap music" "Krunk" and artists like Game, Kanye West, Young Jeezy, Emenim and of course "The Carter" made it appear as if 50Cent somehow ended his rap-career.

Well........

3 years after that "Mesmerize" joint he had a Top 5 Gold selling hit with this joint.

^^^^"Wonderful" (2004).

...and then after that he dropped the hit "New York New York"(2004) but by then the climate in HipHop had shifted and once you lose pace in this game its almost always over for you because fickle-fans jump on the next hot bandwagon no matter the music.

In 2004 he filmed: "Assault on Precinct 13" with Laurence Fishburne
& "The Cookout" with Queen Latifah
& "Back in the Day" with Ving Rhames.

Thats why I said his "budding movie career".....its a transition alot of rappers attempt.

ill give you the new york, new york track which was a big hit, but other than that ja really lost his nitch to really keep making them big hits he was making in prior years consistently....all beef aside, if ja would have kept on producing chart topping singles and albums, he would have never fell off no matter how much 50, em, dmx or who ever else he had beef with at the time. At the end of the day, if your music is still selling, then you in fact are winning in the game, you are as good as what chart topping music you can produce. 50 has even admitted that he would not have became so big if ja would have just ignored him because he knew he was a nobody, plus ja is not a battle rapper which also worked against him, clap back was smh. If ja was smart, he wouldnt have gave 50 the time of day and pulled a jay move and ignored him, even though it would be a pussy move to keep ignoring 50 at the time because 50 was killing the mixtape game, 50 was still a nobody in the grand scheme of things. Ja just gave him a platform, which turned out to be a dumb move on his part.

factor in Jay Z jealously with Murder INC also. he always jealous of Irv Gotti. Irv Gotti was a brazen asshole like dame who treated white folks like shit but they still loved Irv. Irv had all the real connects, real relationships with the executive suits at the then Big 5. Irv had relationships with Jay Z biggest enemies (Nas, DMX, Death Row). Irv was the first CEO to have Def Jam take their imprint off LP, tapes, CD's (the only Def Jam references on Murder INC hardcopy albums was the manufactured by Island Def Jam Music Group tagline in fine print). Cant forget that ultimate bitch move Jay Z did when he snitched to DJ about murder INC artists "working" with his enemies. The nigga was trying to get Ashanti banned from the whats love video. the nigga got vita banned from the Burn video and her album shelved because she worked with mobb deep (vita album was supposed to drop before ms jade album in 2002). He snitched on Ja Rule for his relationship with J Lo (J Lo was at sony with......Nas!) J Lo had that one single with Nas in 2002 that had 2 commerically release edits that included and excluded nas. He went to lyles nervous and hating when Irv started that Nas joining murder Inc rumor and even dissed Ja Rule/MI (niggas twistin they fingers throwing funny gang signs line). When charli got on MI he started dissing her (she thought I was big or someshit line)
