84 so I had both.Had tons of xmen ironman spawn spiderman justice league beast wars ultra force and savage dragon.

Where the terminator and robocop at? I had the T1000 and friend had that big robot from robocop one and another friend had the thundertank.My big bro had all the wrestling men and rambo figures.

As a collector of action figures, Rex has to say that undeniably that the 1980's was the greatest decade for toys. During that ten year span the greatest toy franchises debuted and some are still going on today. Though a lot of popular and icon brands dropped, Rex has to say that toys that dropped in the early part of the decade were the one the ones with the strongest impact. During the 80's we got:

The Transformers

The Masters of the Universe, (He-Man)

Thundercats

MASK

Though debuting in the 70's, most of Kenner's Star Wars line came out in the 80's

and the greatest toy franchise of all:

That whole He-Man collection was ridiculous I damn near had the entire collection it's crazy how that whole entire toyline series went bankrupt.

The 90's was cool because you have Toy Biz with their Marvel license, but had it been for this:

Toy Biz would have never stepped their game up. McFarlene with his attention to detail and sculpting literally changed the action figure game. When those Spawn figures came out, Toy Biz was playing catch up to the product he was putting out. Also, Toy Biz was notorious for having wack figures in the line. For the longest Toy Biz just couldn't seem to put out a decent Hulk or Thor, it seemed those figures were destined to be disproportionate in some why, the Wolverines, would always be the same height or even taller than certain figures in the assortment, or they would enviably do some hella random shit to fuck up a figure, like have Cap's shield too small.

The reason why the 80's was a better toy decade than the 90's is because of the variety. There was something for everybody. Army men, (G.I. JOE). Sword and Sorcery, (He-Man) Sci-Fi, Star Wars and MASK) Robots (Transformers) they appeal of Transformers is that it's actually two toys in one. You get a robot that transforms into something else, or maybe into three things, as in the case of Six Shot, six things. In the 90's if you weren't fucking with Marvel superheros, you were assed out.
