Well yeah...but that doesn't answer the question that if the book says obesience to his law brings blessings, how that is not tantamount to the favor of God.

Well, what do we consider as a blessing? Obedience is fine and all, but if God's Perspective on curses and blessings is different from man's perspective, then who is to say that obedience will provide what we perceive as a blessing?

I've read it and...I believe the story cheapens the potency of sin. It is suggesting that when a person "sins", it is directed towards an outside source for sin...which says that you can choose not to worship sin; that man can easily choose God if they wanted to. The Bible says we can't...and won't choose God unless He draws us to Himself.

Thank you for taking the time to check it out. I am researching this topic for more historical value than religious, but I agree that it cheapens the potency of sin.

Bruh...first of all the 10 commandments are a figment of christian imagination and in actuality cannot be separated from the other 603 laws in the Mosaic code. Secondly, if you cared to objectively research you would find that the 42 negative confessions are personal to each tomb. There is no one canonical set of negative confessions. They are 2 totally different things. And most everybody here were tuned in for that thread i mentioned and we all know that what I broke down in there cannot be minimized to mere "e-beefing". You van save that whole conditioning speech because you the one came in here on that same ol' neophyte shtick in which your research is so lacking and/or you are so bereft of practical applications to your knowledge base that you have to draw illegitimate comparative analyses to support it. My problem with Israel is that, like you say they claim to be the first and only nation who god gave the full laws to, when there is evidence that they were borrowed from another nation/religion (Egypt). The Hebrews also claim to be the first monotheistic religion (one god), when there is evidence that the Pharaoh Akhenaten established a monotheistic religion far before the Hebrews. It can even be argued that Judo-Christians are polytheistic because of the Elohim and holy trinity, which are pluralistic in nature. I’m not putting down anyone’s belief system; I just think that people should search for the truth regardless of whether it goes against their beliefs or supports them.

Israel as a whole does not claim any of that, only Israelites who do not study. The law was intrinsic to all of the Adamic race (God-men) many millenia before Khemit or Abraham were even thought of.And Ahkenaton's concept of the Creator is not the same. There is no diety similar to the sum total of YHWH. Elohim are not to be worshiped, YHWH Elohim means something different than the word Elohim in and of itself. The trinity is bullshit and has nothing to do with the Tanach (Torah, Prohets and writing- Hebrew bible without the NT)

And to me the bolded is the bottom line. I don't know how many times I have to hear "African Spirituality" adherents make claims of how they have the real true stuff and everybody elses is second rate, but as of yet can't concretize that knowledge into something practical or substantive. I am all about learning some hidden jewels particularly if it bolsters or enhances my base but at a certain point, you got to show me something past books, youtube videos, and lectures in a classroom. This is where quite frankly Black Christians, Hebrew, and Muslims have surpassed those brothers. If we are being honest.

Egyptians were builders. It is no longer viable to talk about what they did it has been past time to learn how and why they did it. But this would require application and effort and really a change in how we do things.

I guess from my comments it appears that I am here trying to debunk or put forth some type of religious/spiritual agenda, when I have stated that I have no intentions of putting down any religion. I am a historian/agnostic and far too humble to assume that I can interpret god’s will or his/her/its words. I am merely on a quest for knowledge.

As you understand the 10 commandments to be a figment of the Christian imagination, a large percentage of the Christians feel the same about your beliefs. Simply stating that they are a figment of the imagination does not prove anything except that both sides disagree. I never stated that the negative confessions were a canonical set of laws, just that they were “familiar” to the set which established the commandments. I am new to the R&R and am not familiar with past posts so excuse me if any threads I create have been done before. I did try to do the science of your thread, but information was missing that negated your arguments.

As far as my research goes, simply pasting the negative confessions in a thread and asking if it sounds familiar does not qualify. As you pointed out, I am new here and was attempting to get a feel for opinions. My research is agnostic in nature and has focused on the origins of religion and its syncretic relationship with nature worship, typically the cosmos, rather than what has been interpreted as god’s word/law.

P.S. Being that I do not “have a dog in the fight” I am not interested in any type of homosexual interpretations of the ancients.

The Age of Aries has also come and gone, while most of us continue to struggle to interpret ancient scriptures to meet what is present in today’s society. Our ancestor’s lives and religions should be interpreted as an individual who was alive during that time period, not as a nigga trying to 1UP the next mans god.

You my dude Garv, but c'mon son. Black Christians, Muslims, and Hebrews have been able to put into practice and bring to fruition more than the Afrocentric spiritualist. I don't even have to do the roll call.

Matter of fact, if you want to keep it a hundred, some of our greatest and most prominent Afrocentric scholars(notice I said scholars), were inspired by adherants of the Abrahamic traditions to even do what they do. But on the real, it's just talk , and could be classified as theory. If you can't bring up institutions that answer our needs or get someplace to refine your theory then it don't really mean much.

I love my brothers who strive to adhere to the tenets of African Spirituality. But the facts are they have not been able to concretize or put into practical application anything they talk about. The reason being is you all spend to much time focusing on differences that causes fractures even among yourself, instead of unity building activity.

Not all Hebrews most def, but I've shown and proved what happens when the Hebraic/Adamic sciences are applied correctly in a fully functional, practical sense. I've found with any group, its only a small percentage who actually "get" what its all about and implement that knowledge successfully.
