Finally could be a huge boost stash him instead of freeman... Now Freeman might play third base I wouldn't mess with that... But fuck it I'm all for braves fucking that up since I got Matt Adams at first lol

marte will be eligible to go on a minor league rehab assignment 15 days before being eligible to return

so he will probably begin an assignment any day now

but there are reports freeman is back this thursday barring any setbacks lol

yankees bullpen has been an absolute train wreck for the past month

theyre actively losing so many games that they should be winning

betances is such a headcase — all the talent in the world and he cant get out of his own way — chapman hasnt been reliable this season either — teams are really starting to be able to get the bat on the ball against him waaay more this season — he hasnt looked dominant at all this year — the cubs got every ounce out of him possible

i think maddon killed chapman arm last fall

Yup B)

Nationals and Yankees situations is why theo should strongly consider trading Davis.Edwards can just step in and he needs to be groomed for that role anyway may as well let him close in august/september

They may not get a haul like the yankees got for miller and chapman last year but they can get something decent.Give us torres back

secret to beating the nationals is just keep it close

eventually

they will give you runs

cubs might be able to get robles for davis since theyre in win now mode

but i dont see the yankees doing anything like that -- the timing worked out really well for them in terms of their older players (being forced to) retiring and re stocking the cupboard and trading off assets — cashman changed his team building style and built a solid team short term with a great future so i see them letting it play out and grown organically

In already know, they've blown the most late inning leads in mlb.The cubs just came back down 2 runs bottom of the 9th vs them last week.

I wasn't serious about the yankees but the nationals might be down cuz harpers window only goes til october '18 and they never advanced past the divisional series.

Robertson probably makes more sense tho I think he has another year left on his contract after this one.

What's your thoughts on ian happ? He has more power than I thought.Prone to a lot of strikeouts but he's real solid. He may make schwarber or almora expendable.

‘where would the cubs be without ‘an happ?’

is not something i thought would be said in 2017

he is doing exactly what schwarber should have been doing — with his 2 HRs today he now has 12 home runs in his first 157 big league at bats — its impressive considering he only hit 15 combined in 488 at bats between A+ and AA

itd be very advantageous if he can stick at cf or 2b

im still high on schwarber (hes destroying shit right now in iowa) but i just might move him before i would happ

4 errors in 5 innings

and few others that could have been too

smh

poor quintana

but the tank is now full speed ahead and will not slow down under any circumstances

and i know its early but im done with the whole avi garcia thing

he looks every bit the part but goddamn if hes not the frankenstein monster of former promising white sox players with all the wrong attributes taken

the fielding of dayan viciedo

the power of gordon beckham

the plate discipline of jeff keppinger

the contact skills of adam dunn

the baserunning acumen of, well, too many names could work here

and the leadership qualities of adam laroche raggedy ass son

the DH spot will be the death of this team, it felt like they were missing a bat on paper this winter -- it has proven to be true and will probably continue to be proven true until its properly addressed

avi leveled up a lot since i posted this years back

i feel like a proud father

hear cubs are interested in verlander and avila.

make the trade. tigers need to sell sell sell.

verlander has been great but is no longer a number one starter.

he'll be great for the cubs as a number two or three starter.

he'll beast in the nl with no dh and he's at his best when the moment is the biggest

About to hit the 500 mark, and of course we run into the Astros. Wouldn't be surprised if we got swept. That lineup the stros got mane...ain't no weaknesses. The youngin got rocked. Saw Reddick with the bat flip after the slam. Braves anal about that shit. Wouldn't be surprised if he's not plunked today
