I didn't like joe pulling arrieta so early. He over managed the fuck out them last 3 innings he shoulda let jake go at least 7 then let the bullpen get the last 6 outs but I can't complain

The only thing i could think of was he was gonna use arrieta in the 9th of game 7 , trusting him more than Chapman to close it out. Can't wait to see how this plays out. I expect pure drama.

On no rest?!? Chapman said he good and can go whatever innings they need him tonight

this game about to be high anxiety like a mug for me

“Jake was really good,” Cubs manager Joe Maddon said. “On his regular rest, he was outstanding.”

Actually, Arrieta enjoyed a fifth day of rest after winning Game 2 at Progressive on Oct. 26. He didn’t rule out his next appearance coming on zero days’ rest, in Wednesday night’s season-ender.

“I’ll definitely be available tomorrow if outs are needed,” he said. “Last game of the year, Game 7 of the World Series, everybody’s available pretty much tomorrow. That’s kind of how we view tomorrow.”

I doubt he pitches but you never know with Crazy Joe.

My only fear about Chapman is- has Cleveland seen him too much? They fuck around and get a little comfortable seeing them fastballs and you never know.

That heyward catch was CLUTCH if that was soler out there laawwwdd I don't even want to imagine and that baez transfer from the low russell throw was a great play too.

Crowd was completely dead by the 5th.Took em out the game that home pressure is real the road team has the advantage because of that

Whenever there's a fly ball(hr or routine) I always watch the outfielders that's how you know if it's a hit, catch,hr look at how the outfielder reacts.Naquin jogged in and I swear to god I was like "duke aint payin attention!!!" like he thought chisenhall had it and that ball dropped I couldn't believe it I jumped up hyped af.The cubs were up 5-7 runs but I still felt nervous

but to those real ones in cleveland and chicago

tonights game is going to be the surreal culmination of a lifetime of baseball memories

ones as a kid

and as adults

but no pressure

its only one of the biggest games in BASEBALL HISTORY!!!!!!

theres no way i could watch game 7 in a public setting if it was the white sox playing

i watch all important sporting events at the crib

cant risk unleashing the wild man in public

i be pacing back and forth like im coaching the game from my living room

yelling at the tv

just yelling at people that will never hear me

goddamn i love this shit

Me too.As far as the cubs games I cut the mlb app off,no internet,no postin during games.I just lock in and watch the whole game don't matter if the cubs up 10 or down 10.Also I be having some super strong loud that helps calm the nerves. Can't do that in public

I was nervous last night tonight it's gonna be :# :# :#

This is the 1st adversity the indians have faced all postseason

Cubs down 5-2 in the 9th game 4 vs the giants with cueto looming in a game 5,down 2-1 to the dodgers on the road after back to back shutouts and down 3-1 in the world series after losing 2 out 3 at home.Indians have faced no adversity all playoffs. They've had everything go there way til now

At least you aint like them lame ass white sox fans cheering for the indians.Lol @ cheering for the team that sonned them and jacked the al central from them to beat the cubs that bitterness is real

When the white sox went to the world series I pulled for them cuz at the time chicago baseball was collectively awful I just wanted to see a chicago baseball team win

i was at the crib watching the white sox playoffs games in a different room from everybody else because i had to smoke something to calm my nerves

i wouldnt be able to handle tonight if it was them playing

the wait during the day is going to be excruciating

let alone during the actual game

there have been 36 game 7 in world series history

tonight makes it 37 and i honestly cannot think of a more anticipated game 7

i cant think the last time a game 7 had this level of drama and anticipation

2001 in the aftermath of 9/11 is the only one i can think of

This Game 7 will be more tense than the Cavs/Warriors Game 7.

the cubs vs white sox thing never been real to me

its not a legitimate rivalry

its just 2 teams in the same city

if anything it might be a class/culture thing

north side vs south side

nothing having to do with baseball teams

i dont know about that

that game was crazy

when it was like under 2 minutes

i fell down in my living room standing up because my knees were that weak

i had to go sit back on the couch

and i didnt even care who won

but tonight gonna be tense though for sure

I love the fact that my Cavs won the title last season and ended this city's drought, but baseball has always been my favorite sport. Was only 9 when the Braves beat us, so don't remember that World Series, but I remember being in tears after the Marlins beat us. Also remember us choking against the Red Sox in '07. We would've killed the Rockies if we played them in that World Series. This game will be a test for us to see how good we really are. This is our biggest challenge all season- may the best team win.

Don't know what to expect tonight.Kluber is nasty and he's shut the cubs down the 3 times he's faced them(last year interleague) miller, shaw and allen rested.I read lackey might be available which is baffling I wouldn't want duke no where near a game 7 he's rondon status to me

Just hope the cubs can score early and hendricks pitches a gem like he did in game 6 vs the dodgers. This is the biggest game in chicago since probably jordans last game wit the bulls may be bigger

THE

CUBS

ARE

FEELING

THE POWER

OF

THE

WARRIORS!!!

THE

POWER

OF

THE

CUBBIES

FLOWING

THROUGH

THEIR

VEINS!!!!

GMN5X.gif

now youve done it indians

you let the cubs off the mat on the 2 and 3/4 count

weve reached the portion of the series where the cubs are setting up the tribe for the gorilla press drop followed by the running splash

regardless of the outcome both fanbases should be proud of their respective teams for giving them a season that theyll never forget siiiiiiiiiiiiike you gonna sick as fuck but look whoever wins though i fully expect for both of these teams to be considered the favorite to win their respective leagues next year

the indians have everyone coming back except napoli at a position of relative depth in the free agent market -- they can also reasonably expect to be more healthy next year than this -- with brantley, gomes, salazar and carrasco all out for significant chunks of time

the cubs have everyone coming back except fowler and chapman with more than enough resources to replace them and the prospect of a healthy year from schwarber

but the journey that started on april 4th finally ends tonight

history will be made

this 1 game will erase 60 + years of heartbreak for 1 team and add another 'wait til next year' chapter for another

i dont know if there will be a winner take all game like this in any sport ever again in our lifetime or the lifetime of the next generation

bout to go watch rookie of the year

calm myself down a little bit

i'll argue to the death that the first 2 minutes of that movie best captures the excitement of a baseball season
