Yea the red sox got mad young talent.I remember when theo left boston a lot of red sox fans were callin him overrated like the bolded weren't all epstein picks(bogaerts signed internationally) even tho swihart hasn't been as good as he was projected that's another theo pick and he was on moncada hardbody but the cubs were in the international penalty when moncada became eligible.

i think his demotion was bullshit too but he needs to understand how the game is set up and accept it

Yea the cubs wanted benitendi.I remember clearly they were focused on him cuz of the advanced approach.The hitters theo wants are disciplined at the plate(same thing wit the red sox that won the world series) look at all the signings/acquisitions and picks rizzo,schwarber,bryant,zobrist,happ,heyward(having his worst season of his career but has a patient hitter)fowler,la stella all draw walks,can make contact and work counts.Happ solid tho so I ain't trippin

St louis stumblin & bumblin they were just 6.5 out 2 weeks ago now 12 back with a 4 game series vs the cubs this weekend.Lost a series to the braves and if the reds didn't have that epic collapse monday where they allowed 5 RUNS in the 9th they woulda lost 3 in a row to the reds.

Strop has to get an mri but whenever a player can't put weight on there knee or has to get helped/carted off it usually is never good so I expect the worst

Edwards came through last night, was brought in wit runners on 2nd & 3rd 0 outs wit trout and pujols up struck out trout,got pujols and simmons to ground out he's shown a lot this season and can take over strops role if necessary

all that so called 'friction' between jeter/arod was allowed to fester because of jeter

he wasnt the most welcoming teammate

jeter was more egotistical than folks were led to believe

regardless of steroids you could argue bonds and arod were the two most talented/skilled baseball players ever

what i found the funniest though was this

down 9-4 with nobody out in the 9th david ortiz fouled a nasty looking ball off his right shin

he was down for a few minutes and then needed help to the clubhouse (something similar ended texeira season last year)

count was 2-2 when it happened

cameras followed ortiz into the dugout and didnt even try to catch bryce brents come in to finish the at bat

you can see ortiz being helped into the dugout

you hear the sound of a ball hitting a glove in the background and then the commentator quickly mentions bryce striking out
