Bryon Buxton got sent down to the minors again damn, too early to call him a bust but duke can't hit for nothin and stay injured. He's still young but I can't remember a #1 prospect getting sent down 4x after being called up

updating the race for the 1st pick of the 2017 mlb draft

braves 41-70 - (-123)

diamondbacks 45-66 -4 (-118)

twins 45-66 -4 (-64)

reds 45-65 -4.5 (-128)

rays 45-65 -4.5 (-42)

athletics 48-63 -7 (-94)

atlanta has been fighting off the challenge from minnesota and now have a 4 game lead over them and the new contender in the contest is arizona -- the reds who still lead all mlb with their -128 run differential are hanging tough at 4.5 games behind the braves as are the other newcomer to the race the rays

i expect to see the twins slowly dropping out of this race -- at one time they led all baseball with their negative run differential but lately have reduced it to - 64 runs -- that is a bad sign when you are trying to lose -- the reds are just snakebit i guess -- they have led mlb with the worst run differential all season but have screwed up and won too many close games so that they have never been closer to the bottom than they are now (4.5 games) -- the As are also a disappointment in that their negative 94 runs should have them right in there with the braves but alas, they keep finding ways to avoid losing

Didn't know the d-backs were that close to the worst record. They were a colossal failure this year, I thought they'd be playing for a wild card

he was rushed along way too quickly

the last time he put together a bunch of at bats at 1 level was 3 years ago and he crushed it

injuries have taken their toll as well so there is plenty to consider here

1 thing is for certain though it just goes to show how being put in this position too early can ruin some guys

dave stewart was so pissed that fangraphs projected them to be around .500 this season after signing greinke and trading for shelby

him and larussa hate advanced stats

nice to see their ways blow up in their face (moreso tony)

minor league baseball has a circus like feel to it

they do the stupidest shit for fan promotions

no doubt tebow gets a shot for publicity and tickets

benintendi is already amazing

the ball just jumps off his bat

they showed him on mlbtv hit a triple standing up on a rocket off the wall that got in quickly (i think it was in hs)

bradley

betts

benintendi

bogaerts

in the heart of your lineup for the forseeable future

man

and they also happen to have the best prospect in baseball right now in moncada

Yea the red sox got mad young talent.I remember when theo left boston a lot of red sox fans were callin him overrated like the bolded weren't all epstein picks(bogaerts signed internationally) even tho swihart hasn't been as good as he was projected that's another theo pick and he was on moncada hardbody but the cubs were in the international penalty when moncada became eligible.
