baseball will never get the black youth back interested -- its too many factors that cant be solved -- you can work with a guy with some size and make him an ok basketball player but baseball? -- he’ll get hit in the face playing catch -- i seen dudes in hs who would try out -- hadnt played baseball since they were 7-8 years old -- theyd strike out doing soft toss + baseball practices are horrible

OK yea that's kinda what I figured. I guess I only held out hope because you could make the case that a guy like Miller especially is the missing piece for your Cubs....but I agree with your assessment.
I wouldn't mind soler/canderlario package (I'm assuming the 3rd baseman is nice, idk anything about him) but we need some power and some youth on the squad asap.

Yankees want too much for miller so they're reportedly gonna keep him.
Canderlario is a good player he's just blocked he's got good plate discipline,been tearing up triple a pitching the last 2 months,he's from new york too.I wouldn't care about losing him for a rental cuz there is no where for him to play but I think the cubs are being mentioned as 'strongly in the mix' for chapman so other teams can up the ante.Miller is who the cubs really want but cashman asking for schwarber
