theyve blown 16 save chances this season only trailing the reds

the giants need an entire new bullpen

romo cant get back soon enough

strickland and osich were thought to have a legit shot a threatening casilla closer role but have instead both taken major steps backwards and are not even relieable

a nice reminder of how random bullpens can be year to year

I just don't understand how the cubs couldn't get the mets out.Their offense is garbage and they were constantly getting hits or walks lester got rocked,hammel got rocked,arrieta been struggling for about a month now.Game 1 maddon fucked up bringing in wack ass peralta who immediately walks 2 batters than gives up a double.Series was frustrating as hell to watch that's the worst the cubs played all season.

bosio and arrieta can go ahead and stop saying they know what the issue is and how to fix it

former may be true but latter clearly isnt

arrieta has 3 months to find the fastball command

if the nlds started this week id want jon lester in game 1

I read they think it's mechanical and he's doing something different from last season

He wants 7 years of ace money I don't see clayton kershaw having these issues,this is why I said I wouldn't extend nothin until I see him do this for more than 1.5 seasons cuz arrieta is walking too many cats and when he was throwing strikes he giving up doubles and hr's. Stop talking bout your next contract and get back to form

you have to hope it continues because if arrieta control becomes a major problem it might be why the cubs give up more than you might want for good bullpen arms

its pretty amazing that arrietas stats still look so good because he hasnt been all that great for a good month now

hes just mostly gotten away with it up until his last two starts

every time rodon takes the ball i have to remind myself of this

then i can calm down a bit

last nights start was pure bullpen stuff he just had nothing

he was in the middle of the zone a ton

still waiting for a string of dominant starts it seems like he is yet to have any of those this year -- it is starting to become a bit of a concern that rodons status as a guy many thought would be a front line pitcher is moving more towards the back end type of a guy -- his swing and miss potential was said to have been big but its been a let down so far that he hasnt taken a step forward this year and if anything has taken a bit of a mini step back

he needs more seasoning in the minors but the white sox wont send him down

it was part of the deal when he signed

to fast track him to the majors

boras wouldnt have let him signed for $6.8 million otherwise
