6-1 and a 2.17 era for jason hammel and i dont really recall a memorable outing from him either lol

itd have to be yesterday since it was probably the first time this year he pitched into the 7

maddon been limiting him but looks like hes trying to see if they can get more out of him

boston has opened up an enormous gulf between themselves and the rest of the al in terms of offense

theyre batting .297 as a team

the next highest is detroit at .267

they have compiled a team ops of .846

the next closest is baltimore at .768

theyve hit 117 doubles

the next closest is houston with 89

they have a obp of .361

the next closest is seattle at .324

boston also leads in stolen base % with a success rate of 91.8% having stole 31 bases (3rd most) and only been caught 3 times the next best is cleveland with 32 stolen bases with a success rate of 80.0 % and their first round pick last year benintendi who was hitting .351 with a .420 on base % and a .580 slugging % has reached double A before memorial day -- theres a chance hes gonna be the lf by late july/early august if he keeps it up which would put holt back at super utility where he belongs

they also got moncada a top 5 prospect in all of baseball chilling in salem (hes hitting 3 something and got like 30 stolne bases in 40 games)

if a certain spot in the lineup is going to get more plate appearances on average it only makes sense to put some one in that spot who is good

when the lineup rolls over and there are runners on and rollins is up and does nothing it just magnifies how idiotic it is to have him batting in that spot of the lineup

enough
