If Kershaw can keep the home runs he gives up to solo shots then I really like our chances tonight. Someone might have to give Bregman a hard slide and get him the fuck outta the game. He's killing us. I think Altuve is due. Just hope it is too little too late. Jansen is making me nervous. Astros are good fast ball hitters and Jansen is leaving some over the plate.

Aye I started to quote this earlier, but I didn't wanna be that guy. lol

All the lead changes are fun to watch but to be real the Pitching for both teams been trash

Kershaw had 4 & 3 run lead in a critical game 5 and blew both , kuechel pitched a dud

Dodgers bullpen been f'd up since game 2, Astos bullpen is unreliable

Both teams been walking dudes left n right and it's costing them

edit that ump for game 5 was awful too

I thought Alex wood pitched pretty good, other than him I agree with you. Even the Aces haven't been reliable and both Bullpens been getting thoroughly knocked around.

Anyway can any of my fellow Dodger fans answer me this:

Why haven't Dave Roberts used Ryu out of the pen? Is he inactive? Every other pitcher we got has given up a home run. Might as well use him if he's available and since he's usually a starter maybe we can get some innings out of an already taxed as fuck bullpen.

Ryu is not on the ws roster.

Why did Hernandez try to bunt when turner was on 2nd with 0 outs? That was dumb af

Don't know what's gonna happen next baseball too hard to predict.

I thought dodgers would win in 6 but their bullpen been get touched up after collectively looking like mariano rivera vs the cubs

morrow wanted in game 5 on some hero tip, and imploded in like 6 pitches smdh

Is he injured? I woulda rather saw him come in than Morrow.

Just not included.

That legit pissed me off. Hernandez was getting good swings all playoffs too plus Turner was still limping so he wasn't gonna be as fast to the plate as he coulda been. You could see it on Hernandez's face that he wasn't down for no bunt shit.

According to two sources, the Marlins will look to trade outfielder Giancarlo Stanton, who’s due $25 million next season, and also will try to trade second baseman Dee Gordon and third baseman Martin Prado.

There could be a market for Gordon, who’s due $10.5 million, $13 million and $13.5 million over the next three seasons, with a $14 million team option in 2021.

But it’s highly questionable if the Marlins will be able to trade Prado, who’s due $13.5 million in 2018 and $15 million in 2019. Prado, who turned 34 on Friday, was limited to 37 games because of injury last season and hit .250.

If the Marlins kept this roster together, their payroll would be $140 million. New owners Derek Jeter and Bruce Sherman have told other owners they want to get it to $90 million.

The 2018 salaries of Stanton, Gordon and Prado would add up to $49 million, about what they need to get to $90 million. But that would grow based on salaries of players acquired in those trades.

According to a source, the Marlins ideally prefer not to trade Christian Yelich (on a team-friendly seven year, $49 million deal) or Marcell Ozuna (projected to make $10.9 million in arbitration and a free agent after 2019). They also would ideally like to keep still-cheap J.T. Realmuto, Justin Bour and Dan Straily.

But nothing has been ruled out and the Marlins would need to consider dealing any of the aforementioned players if they can’t trade Prado or if they don’t find a team willing to pick up most of Stanton’s financial obligations.

Brian Anderson likely would take over at third base if the Marlins can find a taker for Prado.

game 5 was like a prize fight between two big strong sluggers

they come to the center of the ring

lean on each other and launch bombs

one of them gets staggered and looks like hes going down but he comes up swinging and staggers his opponent and it goes on like that the whole time

incredible sports drama

even though im rooting for the astros for never having won a WS i hope that they lose today so that we need a game 7

it just seems appropriate that a struggle like weve seen so far goes the full distance

kershaw must have wanted to either scream

or

cry

when maeda gave up that HR to altuve

its gotta be like groundhog day for him

get pulled

next guy gives up a bomb

his teammates NEVER pick him up

The balls are juiced and I don't like it but the Dodgers should have it tonight. As much as the casual fan likes this homerun derby I like actual real baseball and pitching. The base coaching has to be better for LA and stop putting all the faith in analytics and use your damn eyes sometimes.
