the marlins are in a weird place

theres lots of talent on that team

theres too much talent there to rebuild

on the other hand they are more than just a closer away from a tittle

they should be looking for long term assets that dont cause them to sacrifice too much

if fernandez were still alive itd make more sense for them overpaying for a closer

Scouting report says Moncada gotta work on the defense it said he wasn't good at 3b/2b the defense and cutting down on strikeouts are the only weaknesses

Kopech got a good report he's like syndergaard

hes got bust potential

thats why i wanted benintendi

i like his floor more

but this is the beginning of reigniting the franchise

a direction has been chosen

thats what im most excited about

now trade jimmy butler lol

Lol possibly but I doubt it.Baseball america prospects who were ranked 1-3 since 2010

Mike Trout

Bryce Harper

Jason Heyward

Matt Moore

Addison Russell

Kris Bryant

Byron Buxton

Steven Strasburg

Mike Stanton

Corey Seager

Jesus Montero

Jurkison Profar

Buxton and Profar had injuries derail them and buxton was putting it together in the 2nd half(after his umpteenth call up)

Montero was a major bust the rest are budding stars/superstars,superstars or above average players

Moncada is #1 currently.Kris Bryant struck out a lot his rookie year coulda swore he led mlb in strikeouts

I agree about trading jimmy tho

oh i agree

i meant between the two

i think moncada has more bust potential than benintendi

i also think moncada has a higher ceiling than benitendi though and if it werent for him playing cf i would have him well below moncada

i will take the infielder over the outfielder most times

the type of advantage to have that type of power and production from a middle infield position (hopefully he stays at 2b) to supplement the traditional power positions can be a difference maker down the line

its why id feel much better about giving machado the godfather FA offer in the winter of 18-19 than harper (machado plays a premium position)

We talking about Loria here though. Also not a big fan of our GM. Our farm system is trash

Yea benitendi the real deal duke made it to the majors quick and played good.Wish the cubs coulda drafted him cuz that's who they were gonna pick before the dickridin red sox grabbed him 8th

Moncada offensively gets roberto alomar comparisons

soler alone seems a shade light to me but thats after listening to these 2 guys on MBLN saying that the cubs would have to give up soler and either javy or happ lol but im also guessing that other teams arent convinced that davis will hit 2014-15 levels again or maybe kc really just likes soler

i cant really call it

i have been a bit tough on soler to his credit he is a very inexperienced 24 and he missed basically 2 full years of development while defecting from cuba -- he also didnt have a ton of ABs in the minor leagues (mostly due to injuries) if he can finally stay healthy (which is a big if) and get regular ABs he could be a very good pick up for kc

soler was a man without a home with the cubs

i read hes a big fan of chapman and im sure the cuban heritage has something to do with that

wouldnt be surprised if its miami throwing him that 90 mil

overpaying a closer seems like a very marlins move to make

theyll trade him after the first losing season

so itll work out for yall in the end

didnt realize the red sox stole tyler thornburg yesterday

wow

an average 1b/3b + their #12/#22 prospects for a top 15-20 reliever last year

also something else that will make the red sox marginally better without taking on anything extra contractually

https://twitter.com/Ryan_Spags/status/805947872135049216

pablo will be back and he looks like hes in great shape -- i dont expect elite production but a 2.5-3 WAR season isnt an outrageous expectation + swihart will be back and maybe he can tap into his potential

red sox 7-8-9 hitters are probably going to be benintendi, swihart and jbj

smh

i dont think many teams have that much talent swinging at the back of the line up

WHOA SHIT! He looks likea totally different person!

I'm cool with getting davis cuz he was as dominant as chapman as a closer but those forearm/flexor strain injuries usually lead to tommy john surgery. If the trade goes thru I'll watch soler on the royals since they play the white sox a lot

Theo and co been studying the medicals since last night for a reason.A rondon, strop, edwards, davis pen is pretty nasty
