this is why i thought the dodgers would be the toughest team the cubs could face in the postseason

theyre the one team that can exploit the cubs biggest weakness (breaking ball pitches) -- the giants somewhat used that to their favor last series -- fortunately they had a bad enough bullpen that the cubs hitters were able to exploit and get out of that series with a victory -- thats not the case here -- the dodgers have a wide array of bullpen pitchers which some could argue make up the best bullpen in the entire n.l (they certainly were in the regular season)

couple that with breaking ball specialists urias and hill and i felt the cubs were going to have a tough time scoring and thats without even mentioning kershaw

scary thing is rich hill stuff wasnt even all that good

dude was throwing softball pitches and the cubs were fouling them off into the 5th row

the cubs just cant seem to hit breaking balls

its worth noting their starting pitching was not the reason they fell behind 3-0

the way they pitched this series at worst could have been 2-2

Another issue is the cubs lefty pitchers have been allowing runs and the dodgers are the worst hitting team vs lefties a supposed advantage is being exposed.Yesterday was just a sloppy game offensively and defensively.Until the cubs lose 4x I still think they're winning the series,win today and both teams in the same position

this makes me think last night was rock bottom (been down so long aint got no choice but to come up)

this team has answered every call all year

they keep putting themselves in typical cubs spots and then busting it all up

this is just going to be a little harder

then dodgers bring kershaw back on 3 days rest, the workload eventually catches up to him and he has another postseason blowup 'inning'

3-2 going back to chicago with kyle hendricks in the park where he dominated all year

The red sox had a better offense than the cubs and got shut down,the blue jays have an top notch offense and they been struggling to hit in the alcs

Dodgers before yesterday were hitting just as bad as the cubs in this series.They're getting timely hits the cubs aren't gonzalez hit gm 1 off chapman & hr off hendricks,seagers hit off arrieta,grandal (who was 2-20 entering the ab) hitting a 2 run hr of arrietta.It's that simple

I wouldn't be surprised if this happened. I also wouldn't be surprised if they went down 3-1 and won 3 straight either(not tryin to go through that so I prefer the cubs win tonight) urias is there best chance cuz they've faced him twice and had success.Sidenote Aint no way in hell I extend arrieta let him WALK he let me down yesterday,6-7 more years at 180-200 mil? Man please
