There has been some weak albums in that category(2012) like kanye west album my beautiful dark twisted fantasy not getting nominated in album of the year even though it had universal acclaim across the board.

At college took a music course.. The Prof. Is a grammy voter since he does classical music when it came to popular mainstream categories he asked the students.

From what he said anyone that has 2 commercial releases can become a voter.. So many mc's dj's etc can vote on grammys if they put the paperwork fees in.
